maximal dataset size
Hi, there,
I am using PC window version R and dealing with big dataset usually. May
anyone let me whether the maximal dataset size in R is limited by computer
memory or hard drive capacity?
Thanks in advance.

question from a beginner
Dear there,
R is pretty flexible and powerful. I wonder whether there are any GUI
programs to
do basic statistic work by just clicking menu and selecting procedure.
Thank you for your time.
Yiling

How to extract function arguments literally
...ot;lcommand":
(defun lcommand (str) (eval (with-input-from-string (s str) (read s))))
If the argument cmd is a string (i.e. with quotation marks) or has no
space, it works fine.
> as.character(substitute(abc))
[1] "abc"
But, if it has no quotation marks or contains spaces, it yileds an error.
> as.character(substitute((def x1 x2))
Error: syntax error
He wants to use the syntax like lc((def x1 x2)), not like
lc("(def x1 x2)").
Thanks in advance.

I did some serach around. It seems that ROC curve computation is not
supported on R. Anyone has some leads? Thanks.
