Hello, please excuse my ignorance as i am new to R and this might seem trivial to you How can i scale my time series in a way that 90% of the data is in the -0.-9/ +0.9 range? I think i first have to select the 90% closest to the mean and then calculate my scaling parameter on it, then scale the whole series. I think i could use outlier() from outliers package to identify the outer 10%,

I am trying to mark outbound passive ftp traffic with iptables and shape it to 35KBytes. I am using the following script on the computer that runs the ftp server. It is not working correctly, it seems to limit ALL traffic. Cant file share or anything. ...-i, and --with-tcsim options, it complained about the 2.6 kernel source and version of iproute2. Does anyone know of a way to put tcng on a fully patched FC2 installation? ...haven''t seen anything in tc (not iptables) that addresses direction - inbound or outbound. ...orrect? What methods are available to do this? I can think of marking all the packets on the private side then looking for the marks on the public side. Or, NAT private.100 to a specific Public IP and then write rules for that new Public IP.
