Aside from the irritating warning that "not all data may have copied

My question is this: unless I chmod 777 on the target directory of the
remote host, rsync fails. I would p...

question about glm vs. loglin()
Dear R gurus,
I am looking for a way to fit a predictive model for a contingency table which has counts. I found that glm( family=poisson) is very good for figuring out which of several alternative models I should select. But once I select a model it is hard to present and interpret it, especially when it has interactions, because everything is done "relative to reference cell". This

using time series
Hello,
I'm trying to analyze the behavior of a series of numbers.
Let's say I have the following data: 0 0 0 20 20 20 50 50 53 56 23 24 21 10
0 4 129 159 30 0 0 0 (for example) - these numbers are some measurements
that are taken on equal interval of times (but the specific moment in time
(e.g. spring or march) is not relevant - just equal intervals of time).
What I want to do is based on

rsync error: syntax or usage error (code 1) at /home/lapo/packaging/tmp/rsync-2., 6.3/main.c(1073)
Good Morning-
I am running rsync over Cygwin and am getting an unusual error. The same
error occurs when I attempt to invoke rsync on the Windows command-line
(using cwrsync). Has anyone ever seen it before. Googling it turns up
nothing useful.

REPOST: smbcacls question
Since I never received a reply, I am reposting this earlier post:
I am trying to run the following command and keep getting the same
error. My question is is there a problem with my command or is this
possibly an issue with Samba
smbcacls -d test_file -A ACL:DOMAIN\username:ALLOWED/0/CHANGE -U username
Here is the error:
debug_parse_params: unrecognized debug class name or format [test_file]

space availability (because of the single TB parameter limitation).
Does anyone on this list have any thoughts about this?
Thank you in advance.

Potential new option: --delete-during
There is a new patch named "delete-during.diff" in the CVS "patches"
dir. This patch adds the ability for rsync to incrementally delete
files in each directory during the normal course of the transfer rather
than doing a separate delete scan either before or after the transfer.
The patch renames the current --delete option into --delete-before and
makes --delete behave in the
