Some questions
First of all,... someone who uses "yahoo2" as name,...or insters "junk signatures" should simply be silent.... Secondly vcard is not junk, it's standardised via IETF/IMC. Get a proper client (mutt or so) which can filter vcards etc if you'd like to.... yahoo2 wrote: > At 06:43 AM 11/2/2006, Christoph Anton Mitte...

Postfix won't relay after update to CentOS 4.4

Some questions
Hi. I these questions are copied from a forum and perhaps you can help me to answer them. I) For some codecs (I think MP3 for example) there was that issue that you have different sample/frame/whatever lenghts than in raw/wav encoding, thus if you encode a file to mp3 the lenght is not exact and some digital silence is added. Is the same thing the case with flac (thus the original file would be

uncompressed FLAC
Hi i have seen that the dbPowerAmp ripping and encoding software supports a new so-called "FLAC uncompressed" format, e.g. http://www.audiostream.com/content/dbpoweramps-flac-lossless-uncompressed-wish-come-true i know only the normal flac compression levels from 0 to 8. have i missed an option on the flac comamnd line tool or how could i achieve that on the linux command line

...with the command-line flac. I think dbPowerAmp (and this is me purely speculating, mind you) manually builds the file by adding a FLAC header where the tags can be stored and then inserts the uncompressed wav in the data field of the file or something equivalent. Assistance with an encoding plugin
Hi, I'm working on writing a FLAC encoding plugin for a personal cd ripping project of mine which uses paranoia for the raw audio extraction. My basic setup which follows gets me oddly high pitched audio with lots of noise (although the music IS somewhat recognizable). #include <FLAC/stream_encoder.h> FLAC__StreamEncoder *encoder; FILE *output_file_descriptor; encoder =
