Configuring Dovecot & Snarf plugin for the first time
I've been using uw-imap for some time on my linux system and have been
running into issues with it so I've decided to move to Dovecote, so far
it seems to have solved the issues I've been having however I need/want
to move the incoming emails out of /var/spool/mail/{user} in the same
(or similar fashion) that uw-imap did, and I found the snarf plugin.
However whenever I enable the

Snarf plugin
I've now upgraded dovecot from 2.0.21 to 2.1.10 and the good news is I no
longer see dovecot crashing when loading the snarf plugin however snarf
still does not do anything except make the inbox disappear.
I've come to the conclusion that either snarf does not actually work,
possible, but I doubt it, or more likely I have a configuration issue
preventing it from working.
The system is

Using existing extensions.conf macros, and co-habitation
I'm trying to set up my extensions.conf file using some of the existing
macros like stdexten, etc. while at the same time having two logically
separate virtual PBX's (with no "default" context) and two trunks coming
into separate contexts, i.e. one for residence and one for my at-home
business.
I noticed, however, that macro-stdexten depends on the "default" context:

[LLVMdev] Unwind example
I'm trying to figure out the unwind primitive.
I've written a program which should:
1. Recursively grow the stack until it reaches a threshold
2. Then unwind and print a message
Instead what happens is:
1. Recursively grow the stack until it reaches a threshold
2. Then it dies with:
Abort trap
Can you point me to an example using uwind that "works" ?
Thanks.

Security/authentication flaw(s) found (PR#7625)
Hi Bob,
I am CC:ing this reply to the general Samba list
as I think it may be of interest. This is a report that
crops up from time to time as a security hole report, and
I'd like to explain in general why this is a misunderstanding.

ssd quandry
On a CentOS 6 64bit system, I added a couple prototype SAS SSDs on a HP
P411 raid controller (I believe this is a rebranded LSI megaraid with HP
firmware) and am trying to format them for best random IO performance
with something like postgresql.
so, I used the raid command tool to build a raid0 with 2 SAS SSDs

hooks not working on Ubuntu
Hi everybody!
I was trying to set up port forwarding to one of my VM's but I'm stuck.
I was following this guide:
http://wiki.libvirt.org/page/Networking#Forwarding_Incoming_Connections
So I've created the hook script but it seems like libvirt is not calling it upon the start of the VM.
I've put this into the hook script:
date >> /tmp/libvirt-hook-debug

Changing dnsmasq DNS settings for virtual machines
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

Hi everyone,
maybe this is an old fart, but I cant get it to work.
I am running libvirt on a laptop, where a dnsmasq is already running
to delegate dns info for my local (not-public) network. My resolv.conf
(on the host) lists the system-dnsmasq as first server.
I had to set the listen-adress for the system-dnsmasq to 127.0.0.1 and

Bug in colnames of data.frames?
Hi,
I am using R 1.9.1 on on i686 PC with SuSE Linux 9.0.
I have a data.frame, e.g.:
> myData <- data.frame( var1 = c( 1:4 ), var2 = c (5:8 ) )
If I add a new column by
> myData$var3 <- myData[ , "var1" ] + myData[ , "var2" ]
everything is fine, but if I omit the commas:

Gents,
I've built an Asterisk system to replace our PBX at work and have Cisco

How to I get Asterisk to recognise the '#' being pressed during a call?
In sip.conf I have entries likle this:

type=friend
context=local-phone
auth=md5
username=2001
secret=xyzzy
callerid=Jack Tubby <2001>

[Bug 306] ssh on Tru64 returns " Name does not resolv to supplied parameters"
http://bugzilla.mindrot.org/show_bug.cgi?id=306
------- Additional Comments From cmadams at hiwaay.net 2002-06-28 00:31 -------
I'm not seeing this on Tru64 4.0G or 5.1A with OpenSSH 3.4p1. What does
"rsh [server]" say? Are you using IPv6?

dovecot 2.1 breaks FTS + pre-auth?
Hi. I use dovecot in the simplest possible way, as an IMAP server in
pre-auth mode over ssh or just locally over a unix-domain socket
(e.g., with offlineimap, which runs much faster using dovecot for the
local message store). Ideally I would like to avoid running any extra
daemons or setting up anything as root. Until recently, this has
worked fine by just setting the CONFIG_FILE environment

dovecot and postfix, help?
Hi all,
First a disclaimer. I have played with linux off and on for years, but
this is my first time trying to run a server completely on my own from
start to finish, well it's on a vps, but still. I'm pretty techie, but a
lot of this stuff is new to me, so I apologize for any *duh!* questions.
That said, I've so far installed dovecot, postfix, wordpress, and
related programs

USB card reader causing qemu-kvm SEGV's
Hi.
I have a Supermicro 5018D-FN4T (Xeon D-1541 based SBC) that I use for virtualization. I?m running Centos 7.3 on it (updated), with the CentOS-QEMU-EV.repo repository as the source for virtualization packages.
I run an Ubuntu 16.04-2 guest VM on it, which is ordinary enough. What?s perhaps less ordinary is that I?ve attached a Lexar Media, Inc. ?Lexar Professional Workflow CR1 CFast 2.0 USB
