Does the rsync/xdelta algorithm *need* to write a new file?

Kickstarting CentOS 7 VM on CentOS 6 not possible?
...install) and cobbler-related (no Cobbler involved), and I tried some of the suggestions, but none of them worked. Installing CentOS 7 "manually" using virt-install and the netboot ISO works fine, but I want to use kickstart files. Thanks for any suggestion. -- -- Jos Vos <jos at xos.nl> -- X/OS Experts in Open Systems BV | Phone: +31 20 6938364 -- Amsterdam, The Netherlands | Fax: +31 20 6948204

But on CentOS Stream 9, I only see the newer stream version, like postgresql 15 and nodejs 18 (and not postgresql 13 and nodejs 16). Can anyone explain what's happening here? OT: a USB barcode scanner?
Hi, folks, I'm about to go googling, but thought I'd ask here if anyone's using a barcode scanner with CentOS, and if so, a) what scanner are you using, and b) what, if any, software are you using to record what it scans? <mutter, mutter, the serial number of every bloody h/d that we're asking them to deGauss...mutter,mutter> mark

CentOS 7 install: closest mirror not supported?
...25), it works fine using a local boot.iso (virt-install -l), but with CentOS 7 you then have to manually enter a repository URL. I also tried a local kernel/pxeboot tree with LiveOS/squashfs.img (the latter similar to Fedora's install.img?) with no result. Gantt chart software for CentOS 7 ?
Hi, I'm looking for a Gantt chart software that I can install easily on CentOS 7. I prefer EPEL - or some other third party repo - packages than some obscure installation script for home directories. Any suggestions ? Cheers, Niki -- Microlinux - Solutions informatiques durables 7, place de l'?glise - 30730 Montpezat Site : https://www.microlinux.fr Mail : info at microlinux.fr T?l. :
