generate interface MAC addresses in a particular order
Hi all,
I am using libvirt to manage VM on my system; after creating a VM (default
no NICs are present in the configuration) you can add any number of
interfaces to it (as long as they exist on the host).
To do that, I edit the configuration xlm:
vmXml = self.domain.XMLDesc()
root = ET.fromstring(vmXml)
devices = root.find('./devices')
intf = ET.SubElement(devices,'interface')
intf.set('type', 'bridge')
src = ET.SubElement(intf,'source')
src.set...

Premature end of script headers: upsimage.cgi
...rs: upsimage.cgi,
referer: https://graphs.ltn.lvc.com/cgi-bin/nut/upsstats.cgi?host=ups6 at localhost

upsc seems to also be working as expected, and reports a value for
battery voltage:
>upsc ups6 at localhost battery.voltage
55.00
i have 5 of these upses in total (smart-ups 1500 xlm monitored via
snmp) which all exhibit the same behavior.
how can i further troubleshoot this?
thanks

xmlToDataFrame#Help!!!#follow-up
Dieter Menne pointed out that the (small) xml attachment didn't make it.
Here is an in-line version (see end of message). Let's hope it works
this time.
I'm struggling with interpreting XML files created by ADODB as
data.frames and I'm looking for advice.
Note:
This xlm contains a result set which comes from a rectangular data
array. I've been trying to play with parameters to the xmlToDataFrame
function
in the XML package but I dont get it to extract the data frame. Reading
the file with xmlTreeParse seems to work without error.
This is what the result sh...

How much Ruby?
I bought the pickaxe about 1 1/2 months ago, and I have been reading through
it and learning Ruby in my spare time. I''m about 200 pages into it, and I''m
starting to think I don''t need to know all of the in''s and out''s of Ruby to
get a good hang on Rails.
How much Ruby do I really need to be proficient in Rails? Ruby is a great
language, I love it, but
