Tidy up of XiphWiki VorbisComment page
I have been tidying up the VorbisComment page in the XiphWiki. The problem with it was that it was a mixture of proposals and discussion of those proposals. This made it difficult for implementers to see what to implement. The problem section is: http://wiki.xiph.org/index.php/VorbisComment#New_ENCODER_field_name_proposal This is a mess, and all I could d...

...eds is an implementation (for instance, in ogg123). The problem is that nobody seems available to do it. If either Martin or Sampo would like to work on it, I believe nobody will oppose. CMML and Skeleton implementations are far more urgent right now, though. I have changed the main page in the XiphWiki to link to Draft2 as the "official" OggPCM. Hope that helps. -Ivo

OggPCM: support for little-endianness only?
List, A recent discussion over on XiphWiki is trying to decide if OggPCM should support only little-endianness or the usual combo of big and little. It started with the following statement by an user (Qqq): "Portable players are usually ARM, which is usually little-endian. The Macintosh is now little-endian. Obviously the PC is littl...

Re: Online Monthly Meeting scheduled to 11th July 2007, 06:00 UTC; Confirmed
Guys and Silvia, do come please. If this meeting is a fiasco, there will be a lot of stuff to discuss on some other meeting in what...? November? Not good. If you cannot come in time (like Silvia and Sebastian) we will wait a bit, but do come. If you cannot come at all, state your opinions on the issues at hand through the mailing lists. Your opinion is important.

Hi Is there any documentation for the new features in 2.5 beta3? I can?t find any info... I have it up and running, but I?m trying to squash errors such as the below. EG how do I set up ?PRNG?? What are the changes to the sources that need implementing? No PRNG seed configured. PRNG is insecure. Unknown tags are used in the config file. See the error.log for details. Legacy sources are

No, if anything it makes things worse. Either "OggPCM" or "OggPCM Draft2" needs to be deleted. It really doesn't matter which, but I would suggest that "OggPCM" takes the big sleep. Ju...
