glusterfs 3.2.1 processes in an endless loop?
...nd how to fix it? The logfiles don't show any information about this. Rebooting the server several times didn't help. Reinstalling the gluster rpms and cleaning out /etc/gluster* didn't help either. A dump from shooting one of the processes with SIGUSR1 can be found here: http://www.xidras.com/logfiles/core Regards, Georg

CIFS Documentation
Hello, It would be a good idea to update the Documentation about CIFS: http://gluster.com/community/documentation/index.php/Gluster_3.2:_Exporting_Gluster_Volumes_Through_Samba When the simple truth is, that there is no CIFS Support in gluster itself - it should not be in the docs. As I found out, this was also suggested earlier: http://www.mail-archive.com/gluster-users at

Gluster-users Digest, Vol 41, Issue 16
Hi Phil, we?d the same Problem, try to compile with debug options. Yes this sounds strange but it help?s when u are using SLES, the glusterd works ok and u can start to work with it. just put exportCFLAGS='-g3 -O0' between %build and %configure in the glusterfs spec file. But be warned don?t use it with important data especially when u are planing to use the replication feature,

Sharing Sub-Volumes
Hello, Is it possible and safe to use some kind of sub-volumes via glusterfs? For example, I have a share A, with lots of data in it, but on some hosts I'll only need subfolder B. I can solve this by using the NFS client. But what will happen, if I share the path "A/B" additionally to "A"? Anybody tried this? Georg
