Transfer feature dialing out after one digit
...I changed something in features.conf and suddenly any
time I hit transfer (*2), I can only enter one digit before asterisk
immediately tries to dial that extension.
Features.conf is extremely barebones so I'm not sure where any problems
would come up:
[general]
transferdigittimeout => 3
xfersound = beep
[featuremap]
blindxfer => #
atxfer => *2
Tried change transferdigittimeout to something insanely long like 100,
but still the same thing. I even fully restarted asterisk (just in case
it was some weird fluke that crept in).
This is 1.6.2.17.2. Someone else posted something extr...

Transfer beep w/ Polycom phone
Hi all.
When a user transfers a call by pressing the "transfer" soft button on their
phone, I'd like it to "beep" at them when the transfer is complete. I've got
it turned on in features.conf:
xfersound = beep ; to indicate an attended transfer is complete
xferfailsound = beeperr ; to indicate a failed transfer
However, it seems that transfer is a function of the phone, not Asterisk. Is
there any way I can configure the Polycom phones to either use the Asterisk
function,...

Indication of transfer on display
...ne phone to
another. At present there's no way to tell, short of looking at the
asterisk console for when the channel hangs up - the phone still
displays the internal caller ID of the first phone.
I see that the wiki shows this features.conf option for CVS HEAD,
which would almost do the job:
xfersound = beep ; to indicate an attended transfer is complete
However, am I correct in assuming that this only applies to transfers
done with the # key, rather than the phone's own transfer function?
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Andrew

play audio file to destination SIP channel on attended call transfer
...g 'T/t' option in dial() command. The transfer is completely on client side using SIP signaling.
1. A calls B
2. B answers A
3. A calls C
4. B is in hold
5. C answers
6. B transfer A->C
7. Play an announcement to A 'your call transferred'
8. A and C bridged.
I have enabled "xfersound = <some audio file>" in features.conf.
But it's not working once I transfer the call.
