xenrt phases
Do you have anything detailing what the goal of each phase in Xenrt is?
Phases 4 and 5 seem to be pretty much identical.
Thanks,
Paul Larson

Testing for the Xen Project
...at what we end up with a solution that works for you.
* At the Xen Developer Summit two different solutions for system testing
were presented. The intention was to explain what is there and what we
can use going forward. A presentation on OSSTest which runs regularly
today was given. And one for XenRT, for which there is a plan to get a
small 3 box system up and running that can be used for you to look at.
Citrix volunteered to set this up at its own cost.
* Just to be clear: what works for you may be one of these, none of
these, both of them, …
* There may also be different answers in the sh...

Xen/paravirt_ops kernel available for testing
...e. To
boot under Xen, use /boot/vmlinux-.gz as the kernel image.
This is definitely a testing snapshot release, but it has had a bit of
testing. I've been using it running native on my main work machine, and
it behaves exactly like a non-paravirt kernel. It has also been tested
under Xen on XenRT, XenSource's automated testing infrastructure, where
it passes almost everything.
There are a couple of expected BUG messages which appear on boot: one in
init_sched_clock, and one in xen_apic_read. Both are harmless warning
messages, and will be removed shortly. (However, if you see more th...

Specjbb in ~gdunlap
Specjbb can be found in the xenrt.hg mercurial tree.
I''ve copied the relevant files to my home directory on ubuntu:
~gdunlap/jre-1_5_0_07-windows-i586-p.exe
~gdunlap/specjbb.zip
Install jre, then unzip specjbb.zip. In the "specjbb/installed"
directory, run "run.bat".
The test should run about 20 min...

[Xen-research] ISO test Downloads Availability ?
Hi,
I seem to remember that there used to be ISO downloads of Xen
available, for people wanting to give it an easy way for a test drive,
and to submit (automated) feedback on which machines and
configurations Xen ran (in)correctly. However, I do not seem to be
able to find these ISO images for download at Xen.org anymore. Has the
project stopped making these useful test images - and if so, why ?

Xen Roadmap proposal
...ave a
relatively small and tight code base, coupled with significant
investment in testing by a number of parties.
The tip of the -unstable tree is exercised daily by IBM, Intel and
VirtualIron as well as XenSource. The XenSource test reports are
viewable on the web at http://xenbits.xensource.com/xenrt, while other
reports go to the xen-devel list. The continuous testing provides a
good way of monitoring the progress toward stability of new features,
and for flagging regressions.
In fact, most potential regressions never make it out into the
-unstable tree, as they are picked up by automated tes...
