XP: VBD could not connect to backend device: USB boot
Hi:
we have following setup:
1. 2.6.16-33-based Xen 3.0.3/Xen-3.0.4 DOM-0 kernels.
2. Using LILO-mbootpack from USB we boot Xen-->DOM-0 setup
3. We mount harddisk and try to install xp.hvm
While,we are successful with FCs as DOM-U, for XP we get, VBD (768)
could not be connected.
We do have max_loop count to 64 and enough loop devices.
Note that above error is consistent on both 3.0.3

Is XVD live resize possible?
Hi!
Say I export an LVM logical volume from dom0 as /dev/xvda to the domU:
disk = [ ''phy:xenimages/stan,xvda,w'' ]
No I can lvresize xenimages/stan in dom0, but the domU stays ignorant
of this change. How could I propagate the resize to the domU without
rebooting or temporarily breaking its connection to /dev/xvda? Sort
of a SCSI rescan, perhaps?

Thanks,
Feri.

Release 0.9.5 of GPL PV Drivers for Windows
I''ve just made my first ever attempt at an Nullsoft installer, so if you
want to try it download "Xen PV Drivers 0.9.5.exe" from
http://www.meadowcourt.org/downloads/
The installer should detect the version of windows you are running and
install the drivers. At the moment you''ll need to install the shutdown
monitor service manually, but you can do that from the start

xenoprof patch for oprofile-0.9.7
I am rebasing Fedora rawhide oprofile package to oprofile-0.9.7. The xenoprof patches on http://xenoprof.sourceforge.net/#download look a bit dated. The newest version is for oprofile-0.9.5.
I massaged the patch oprofile-0.9.5-xen.patch to apply to oprofile-.0.9.7. Attached is that updated patch. Does this look reasonable? Is there a desire to get this into upstream oprofile? Or should the

Problem with dom0cut.py
...ble getting the python script dom0cut.py to work.
I followed the instruction on Xen wiki to install the latest libelf.0.8.9 from [1] and the libelf wrapper from [2]. I also had to create a softlink /usr/lib/libelf.so.1 to get the script to run. Here is the command I used: "dom0cut.py -o xenImage -d ~/dumpcore1 --target=x -x ~/stuff/xen/xen-3.1-testing.hg/xen/xen-syms -telf". However, the script seemed to require eu-readelf to work. Therefore, I had to install elfutils (0.123-3). Then, I get the following errors:

[RFC] New shadow paging code
We (Michael Fetterman, George Dunlap and I) have been working over the
last while on a full replacement for Xen''s shadow pagetable support.
This mail contains some design notes, below; a patch against
xen-unstable, giving a snapshot of the current state of the new shadow
code, is at http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/~tjd21/shadow2.patch
Comments on both are welcome, although the code is not
