[PATCH v8 0/19] enable swiotlb-xen on arm and arm64
Hi all, this patch series enables xen-swiotlb on arm and arm64. It has been heavily reworked compared to the previous versions in order to achieve better performances and to address review comments. We are not using dma_mark_clean to ensure coherency anymore. We call the platform implementation of map_page and unmap_page. We assume that dom0 has been mapped 1:1 (physical address == machine

[PATCH RFC 0/3] Xen on Virtio
Hi all, this patch series introduces support for running Linux on top of Xen inside a virtual machine with virtio devices (nested virt scenario). The problem is that Linux virtio drivers use virt_to_phys to get the guest pseudo-physical addresses to pass to the backend, which doesn't work as expected on Xen. Switching the virtio drivers to the dma APIs (dma_alloc_coherent,

[PATCH RFC 3/3] xen/virtio_ring: introduce cpu_to_virtio_addr and virtio_addr_to_cpu
When running on Xen inside as virtual machine (nested virt scenario), addresses need to be translated from phys to machine to get the actual guest pseudo-physical address. Introduce a new pair of functions, cpu_to_virtio_addr and virtio_addr_to_cpu, which call the appriopriate __virtio64_to_cpu and __cpu_to_virtio64 functions after doing the phys_to_bus and bus_to_phys translations for Xen. [GIT PULL] (xen) stable/for-linus-3.13-rc0-tag
Hey Linus, Please git pull the following tag: git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/xen/tip.git stable/for-linus-3.13-rc0-tag which has tons of fixes and two major features which are concentrated around the Xen SWIOTLB library. The short <blurb> is that the tracing facility (just one function) has been added to SWIOTLB to make it easier to track I/O progress. Additionally under

[RFC v3 00/45] dma-mapping: Use unsigned long for dma_attrs
Hi, This is third approach (complete this time) for replacing struct dma_attrs with unsigned long. The main patch (2/45) doing the change is split into many subpatches for easier review (3-43). They should be squashed together when applying. *Important:* Patchset is *only* build tested on allyesconfigs: ARM, ARM64, i386, x86_64 and powerpc. Please provide reviewes and tests for other
