Xen3.0, LSI MegaRaid, Debian
Hello,
Problem: Debian(linux-image-xen-686) Dom0 does not boot from LSI MegaRaid
I''m sorry, because I don''t know if I''m at the right place to ask for a
solution for my problem, because it might be Debian related. Nethertheless I
try:
Xen Kernel are in Debian Unstable for a month or so. I''m running an Etch
(testing) machine here and I wanted to try out

Xend cann''t run?
I''ve installed a Fedora Core 5 2054 and Xen 3.0.4.1 on a Intel 945 mainboard with xen3.0 user manual, everything seemed fine then.
After I rebooted and chosed to enter into xen kernel , I find xend doesn''t run .
when I try to run manually by input:
/etc/init.d/xend start
there some dot(indicating time maybe) appeared, and then nothing happened, the xend jun didn''t get

bind: Address already in use
Hello friends,
I''ve got problems starting xfrd to migrate domains. I installed
xen-2.0.6 a couple months ago and I could migrate domains.
But now, I''ve installed xen3.0-dev and when I run xfrd, I get that
message in /var/log/xfrd.log:
bind: Address already in use
Then I do a "ps -ef | grep xfrd", and no xfrd process is running!!!
Do you know how can I resolve this?

Problem with serial output
Hello,
I''ve got a problem to get a serial output on grub, xen, linux-xen0 and
getty. The serial works fine with grub, xen and linux-xen0, but I''m
unable to start a console, where I''m able to login. I dont''t get any
output. If I change only the getty from ttyS0 to ttyS1 than I''m able to
login..
At the attachment you can see what I see through a serial,

vif''s disappear after dom1 reboot
Today I found I can not ping some of my domU''s. I logged in to dom0,
did a "xm list", all domU are there. Then I did a "ifconfig" and
surprised to find some of vif''s disappeared!
Like for example. "xm list" show dom13 is alive, but "brctl show"
shows no vif13.0.
If I "xm console 13", there''s some message:

Xen kernel compilation fails - no such file or directory features.h (but its there)
Hello,
The 2.6.12-xenU kernel does not seem to have smbfs support. I couldn''t find
the config files for it so maybe I''m missing something obvious, but I read
that you need to compile your own kernel to get smbfs support.
I''m trying to follow the guide at
http://www.debian-administration.org/articles/320
I''ve done exactly as the guide says, except

pv_ops kernel and nvidia binary driver
Just wondering what it will take to get the nvidia binary driver
working on a pv_ops kernel.
It makes it difficult to debug without the source to the nvidia
driver, but I think it should be possible to get it to work without
changing the binary driver. If the dom0 kernel had access to all the
resources that a bare metal kernel did, then it should work right?

Dedicate Nic''s to DomU''s
Hey all I''m new to Linux and Virtualizing. I''m trying to dedicate my nic''s to each virtual server. For instance, virt server A would use nic1 and virt server B would use nic2 and so on. I''ve been reading some stuff for this list and to tell you the truth I''m a bit overwhelmed. We are going to run SLES10.1 and Xen. I would appreciate any assistance.
