Digi Acceleport Xem
I am new to CentOS and have installed the dgap rpm for the mentioned 16
port board.
I turned on in Services dgap. However, when I reboot the system the ttys
disappear. Could it be that the udev rpm is not installed? When I run the
mpi install and load program, everything works. But a reboot deletes it
all! Help!

Interrupt storm with shared interrupt on digi(4)
I have an on-going problem with DigiBoard Xem boards causing interrupt
storms (since 4.x days). The FreeBSD driver polls the board and
doesn't have a functional interrupt handler (and Linux behaves in the
same way). It seems that under some conditions, the board will assert
its interrupt line and, since there's no interrupt handler t...

how to optimize CentOS XEN dom0?
...i,
I have a problematic CentOS XEN server and hope someone could point me
in the right direction to optimize it a bit.
The server runs on a Core2Quad 9300, with 8GB RAM (max motherboard can
take, 1U chassis) on an Intel motherboard with a 1TB SATA HDD.
dom0 is set to 512MB limit with a few small XEM VM's running:

USB PCI Passthrough System Instability
...VM results in a
hard crash/immediate reboot of the host machine, no kernel panic or
anything, just immediate reboot. Once the host machine is rebooted (hard
crash or not) the problem goes away temporarily, but returns 100% of the
time. I should also mention that when I create the Windows VM I get Xem
errors complaining of recieving an NMI and I might have a hardware problem,
but the VM starts anyway.
I know that the PCI Passthrough system is not that robust and people have
said that it makes Xen much less stable. I was hoping that someone should
let me know if there is any way to fix/mitigate...

Success! Xen 3.0.4 on MacBook Pro with Gentoo dom0 and ArchLinux domU
...GRUB. The MacBook Pro has a bug where the keyboard
ceases to work on the GRUB page [2]. The workaround is to hot-plug an
external USB keyboard and use it to choose other boot profiles.
Also, the current Xen release in Gentoo portage is 3.0.2. I could not
get this to work. I used the marineam-xem overlay which uses Xen
3.0.4 along with a modified 2.6.16.46 kernel source. There are no
mactel-linux [3] patches for this kernel release so I haven''t tried
to run X and use the touchpad or other laptop-specific components
that are patched.
I then followed the directions given her...

Success story
hello,
just for a success story :
After bad experience on fedeora core 6, I have tested a OpenSuse 10.2beta2.
I have installed with success a Windows XP SP2.
The hardware:
A intel DQ965gf
Intel Core 2 Duo 6700
USB DVD reader
IDE disk (PATA)
Set AHCI mode in BIOS and add all-generic-ide in boot option.
The opensuse 10.2beta2 does not well configured the xen kernel, you should do a
mkinitrd and
