Numpty question about EXISTS...
I'm fiddling with Ruby and its IMAP class. I'm trying to write
something which (at this stage) can be thought of as a variant on xbiff
which doesn't need poll the server to establish the presence of new
mail... I'd like to establish a notification when the contents of a
folder changes... which is likely to be when a different IMAP client

[Bug 214] New: IRIX utmp problem loginrec.c: line_abbrevname() goes wrong
...ssh-unix-dev at mindrot.org
ReportedBy: phgrau at zedat.fu-berlin.de
On IRIX the sshd writes wrong entries in /var/adm/utmp. The line_abbrevname
function does not trim the pseudo tty name correct. i.e. /dev/ttyq1 gets "tyq1"
instead off "q1". So programms like talk and xbiff, who reads /var/adm/utmp
stumble about this wrong entries. There ist a usenet posting describing the same
problem, and saying that it will be fixed, but it did not happen, see URL above.

POP secure access??
Hi, I'm looking for a solution to access pop mails (sendmail in linux)
securely. Most of the access would be from window clients (outlook express
etc). Is there a way to encrypt the password (like ssh2) when authenticating
with sendmail? Any info is greatly appereceiated. Thx.
Regards,
Wong.
