question regarding Asterisk. X-Lite, and firewall
...e 1103m build stamp 14262. The Linux box that running Asterisk server is RedHat 2.4.18-14. Asterisk server runs on IP: 192.168.1.102. X-Lite (phone A) is on Win2K, with IP 192.168.1.100. They are both behind a router with dynamic IP address. Assume its public IP is aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd. I have another X_Lite SIP phone (phone B) that is NOT in the LAN I mentioned above. Rather, it has its own public IP address, say eee.fff.ggg.hhh. I have configured the router to forward all traffic to its port 5161 to Asterisk server's 5060 port, and configured SIP phone A to use 192.168.1.102:5060 and phone B aaa...

I need to catch the SIP and MGCP messages that will appear when M2 calls to M3 and vice versa. The SIP messages are working (I don't have problems with the config file), but I f...

Using * @ Home, all seems to work, but no sound to Softphone
...i-Asterisk+phone+xten+xlite). I can dial 200 (the softphone extention) and 1234 and they connect (the softphone shows this, as well as the call record), but I don't get any sound from it. I would expect to hear the Festival output that the asterisk console shows it is generating. I tried both X_lite and Firefly softphone, but phones do give me sounds when pressing buttons etc, so it's not my loudspeaker ;-) Any suggestions on what might be wrong? Bas Attached is the relevant output from the debug log: Mar 29 02:46:11 WARNING[1433]: Inband DTMF is not supported on codec gsm. Use RFC2833...
