pxelinux doesn't answer ARP requests when it should

Both computers are attached to one switch.
Tcpdump (tshark actually) is started on the third computer

Supermicro X7DVL-E and Xeon L5320 installation problems
Tearing our hair out on this one. Trying to install CentOS 5 x86_64
on a Supermicro X7DVL-E with 2 Xeon L5320 quad core CPUs, 3Ware SATA
RAID controller in a mirrored setup and 4 GB of memory. Installation
crashes at random places while copying the files. We've run
memtest86 for 24 hours without any errors, replaced the RAID
controller, motherboard and disks, but still no luck.

1) Has anyone been able to get their AIC-9410 controller recognized in
CentOS 5.3?
I'm working with a Supermicro X7DBR-3 motherboard. It has 2 "ICH Raid
Codebase" options in the Bios (Intel and Adaptec); neither of which seem
to change Linux's behavior. The interesting part though, choosing
either Adaptec or Intel, then performing an 'lspci' always displays

DomU clock out of sync
Hey all,
I was watching some logs on a domU today and i suddenly noticed that the
timestamps were off by something on the order of 47 seconds. I was
surprised because *I don''t* run independent wall clocks. I checked
some other domUs and the "drift" was also very close to that of the
first domU.
I also checked another dom0, Here the domUs were "only" out of sync by
