SAS Controllers
Hi All, first time post so please excuse any blunders
We are specifying two servers using supermicro X7DBE+ MB and want to add on a SAS controller
for Raid 10. We want to use the CentOS 4.4 X86_64 distro.
We are currently considering an Intel CC SRCSAS144E SAS Raid Controller for the servers
using 4 Fujitsu 147 GB SAS HDD, and a Adaptec SASC RAID 4805 8-port for the server using 6

SuperMicro X7DBE with CentOS4?
I am planning to build a server based on the SuperMicro X7DBE+-O
motherboard. This server will have two dual-core Xeon processors and
a 3ware 9550SX raid card.
Has anyone built a server based on this motherboard? Are there any
issues with the smp/dual-core support in CentOS4 that might cause
problems?
I appreciate any input. I'm just looking to find...

CentOS-5 beta Virtual Guest Setup Problem

The xend.log and the virt-manager.log don't seem to be showing me any errors in the process,
but then I just may not be interpreting them correctly.
My system is a supermicro X7DBE+ with 2 Xeon 5160, 8G RAM and 4 147G SAS drives setup as
raid 10. I did set the BIOS to allow virtualization. The CentOS 5 was a clean default
install as a server GU with the virtualization option added.
I have to admit that at best I only know enough to be dangerous, (that would be on a good...
