Problem with secondary sata controller
I am having problems getting my 64-bit Debian Squeeze (Xen version 4.0, Linux Kernel 2.6.32) dom0 to recognize a harddrive connected to a secondary sata controller. My motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-X79-UP4 and has two sata controllers. The first is controlled by an Intel X79 chipset and the second is controlled by a Marvell 88SE9172 chip. During the initial install of Debian everything is fine and I can see harddrives attached to either controller. If I boot Xen from grub, I cannot see the harddr...

More about Accounting
I should also mention that Accounting rules are not stateful -- each rule only handles traffic in one direction. So for example, if eth0 is your internet interface and you have a web server in your DMZ connected to eth1 then to measure HTTP traffic in both directions requires two rules: DONE eth0 eth1 tcp 80 DONE eth1 eth0 tcp - 80 Associating a counter with a chain allows for aggregation.

dovecot loading during boot
I have two RHEL4 email servers running postfix/MailScanner which use dovecot. They work great. But during bootup the nfslock script in my init.d loads rpc.statd and calls portmap to get a port number. Portmap keeps giving rpc.statd the imaps port number (993). I then have to stop my mail server services, manually start dovecot, then restart the mail server services and everything goes merrily on

truncation/rounding bug with write.csv
Hello, I have looked on https://www.r-project.org/bugs.html , but it seems that this is the only way to do it. The issue is that the precision used by write.csv is on consistant for big files. See the following code: First I create a large dataframe filled with random uniform values. Then I write it to .csv and print out the first and last lines. df = data.frame(replicate(100, runif(1000000,
