Stability issues since moving to 4.6 - Kernel paging request bug + VM left in null state
...ay, had almost no VMs running on it since boot, I booted a single
windows test VM which BSOD'ed and then this happened.
This is on xen 4.6.6-4.el6 with 4.9.58-29.el6.x86_64. I see these issues
across a wide number of systems with from both Dell and Supermicro, although
we run the same Intel x540 10gb nic's in each system with the same netapp
nfs backend storage.
Cheers,
Nathan

The mainbord is a supermicro X10DRI-T with Intel X540 Dual port 10GBase-T.

Re: SR-IOV Pool Availability
I have an Intel X540 SR-IOV NIC in a box with ACS support running RHEL6.4.
Hi Hongming, I'm hoping you can please help with two issues:
1. The pool works, but I transparent VLAN with the pool does not. I
have to manually run "ip" afterwards to get it to work.

We don't use NFS and have not seen the exact same issue.

fuse vs libgfapi LIO performances comparison: how to make tests?
Dear support, I need to export gluster volume with LIO for a
virtualization system. In this moment I have a very basic test
configuration: 2x HP 380 G7(2 * Intel X5670 (Six core @ 2,93GHz), 72GB
ram, hd RAID10 6xsas 10krpm, lan Intel X540 T2 10GB) directly
interconnected. Gluster configuration is replica 2. OS is Fedora 27
For my tests I used dd and I found strange results. Apparently the
volume mounted locally and exported with LIO is more faster than the
same volume exported directly with LIO.
For my tests I exported the volu...

Okay, it's probably using ixgbe driver then.
You may consider testing a newer kernel and see how that goes out,
before doing too much debugging.
You can install v4.5 using one of ELrepo's kernels at
http://elrepo.org/linux/kernel/el7/x86_64/RPMS/

SR-IOV Pool Availability
If I'm using the SR-IOV Pool assignment method (from
http://wiki.libvirt.org/page/Networking#Assignment_from_a_pool_of_SRIOV_VFs_in_a_libvirt_.3Cnetwork.3E_definition
), how would I check how many virtual functions are already in use?
Is there a method other then looping through all the active guests and
determining if they're using the SR-IOV interface?

NIC Stability Problems Under Xen 4.4 / CentOS 6 / Linux 3.18
...t worked several times but not always was to
migrate / shutdown the domUs, deactivate the volume groups, log out of
all the iSCSI targets, "ifdown bond1" and "modprobe -r ixgbe" followed
by "ifup bond1".
The set up is:
- Intel Dual 10Gb Ethernet - either X520-T2 or X540-T2
- Tried Xen kernels from both xen.crc.id.au and CentoS 6 Xen repos
- LACP bonding to connect to the NFS & iSCSI storage using Brocade
VDX6740T fabric. MTU=9000
