Intel 10G X520-2 and iscsi storage poor performance
Hi, we have a storageserver (Centos 6.4) with a dualport Intel 10G X520-2 Adapter. A QSan P600Q-D316 Storage is configured with 8*SATA Drives raid 5 for test, connected trought a Cisco UCS 6100 Series Fabric Interconnect 10G Switch. I formated the storage with ext4 defaults, one volume and got r/w rates about 10MB/s some up to 40MB/s .... VERY POOR.... So we returne...

When I do this the first NIC fails to boot and...

Broadcom NetXtreme bcm5720 in the 9.1 beta
Team I have a Dell PowerEdge R720xd, with the Broadcom NetXtreme bcm5720. I found the following thread: http://forums.freebsd.org/showthread.php?t=31769 I find I am unable to use the NIC's (there are 4 on the server). When we put a cable into it we get a "watchdog timeout -- resetting" error, and the machine will pause for 5 or so seconds. IP may or may not come up randomly.

UEFI/EFI booting and constantly asking for ldlinux.e64
I'm setting up UEFI booting and got to the point of having the system talk to the dhcpd/tftpd server, grab the first image files (syslinux.efi) and then continuously request the secondary image file (ldlinux.e64). I'm wondering if I'm missing something or if someone can point me in the right direction of trouble shooting this. The tftp root has all the files to boot a BIOS type

UEFI and PXE
...ines for at least 3 years and know the pains. Thanks. This appears to be the case here. The machine is a Dell 11G server. I upgraded all the firmwares with dsu, BIOS was at latest already. After dsu, I upgraded the NIC option ROM with bootutil (I'm not using the builtin BRCM NICs, but an Intel X520-T2 card). That's all I can do on the hardware front. And it *still* shows the same behaviour. Moving tftp server it is then ...

SR-IOV vs nPAR
...e questiones are XEN specific, which might be why theres no response ;-) I have doubts if SR-IOV will provide the required features compared to nPAR. SR-IOV seems more flexible, but I''m not sure if performance and features are the same as nPAR. UEFI and PXE
We have a working PXE setup. I've tried to adapt it to UEFI as per RHEL6 manual, but the client won't boot. Strangely, tcpdump shows that the client tries to download all files via tftp from the dhcp server rather than the tftp server (they are different). next-server is pointing to the tftp server. Any clues?
