Echo problem
...he PSTN
hear their own voice echoed back after 1.5-2 seconds; none of these
adjustments made a difference, except adjusting gain made the echo
quieter.
We followed these instructions in trying to eliminate echo:
http://www.asteriskdocs.org/modules/tinycontent/content/docbook/current/docs-html/x1695.html
Our lines come in from the telco in a PRI, then connect to a Tadiran
switch which hands the lines off to Asterisk over a T1 card.
We have done loopback tests with the Digium card with a loop plug in
it.
We're a bit stumped as to what to try next. Any suggestions or
advice?
Thanks

IAX TO IAX call between two registered servers
Hello all,
I know this has been covered on list but can not find the answer I need, lots
of references to no authority found, but none with an answer.
I have two * servers, one behind firewall with nat the other on a dmz with
nat. Both servers register with each other successfully.

Setting gain levels with mISDN
Hello everybody,
I'm aware that I can try to balance gain levels with PSTN cards using the
ztmonitor tool, as described in
http://www.asteriskdocs.org/modules/tinycontent/content/docbook/current/docs-html/x1695.html
(Adjusting the rxgain/txgain Settings).
Is there a similar tool for mISDN? If not, what is your approach to gain
setting in mISDN?
Thanks in advance,

I have been doing a bit of this too lately. This was also useful.

TE411P Really Bad Echo
I just implemented a system using a TE411P hardware echo cancellation
card. Per Digium, I setup zaptel.conf, and zapata.conf the same way as
I always have. To my surprise calls out to the PSTN had a terrible
echo. 1 - 2 second delay, and quite clear. The echo was so bad that I
had to remove the hardware echo cancellation module from the card. We
are only using the 1st span of this card right
