Memory use and a few other things
Hello, First of all thanks a lot for working on this free nvidia driver. 1.) I am using Fedora9-Beta, and on my NV17/64mb (or NV18?) powered Laptop the nouveau driver uses about 300mb RAM. Is there any way I can decrease that? 2.) Font rendering is very slow. running "x11perf --aa10text" I only get 40k glyphs/s. Is there any way I can improve text performance? 3.) I would like to downgrade to linux-2.6.16.60 - because a driver I need was broken starting arround 2.6.19. Will it still make sence to use nouveuau, or does it need DRI to work properly? Thanks a lot, l...

[RFC PATCH 0/2] ASID: Flush by ASID
Future AMD SVM supports a new feature called flush by ASID. The idea is to allow CPU to flush TLBs associated with the ASID assigned to guest VM. So hypervisor doesn''t have to reassign a new ASID in order to flush guest''s VCPU. Please review it. [Bug 20341] New: NV31 lockup
...luding keylock toggles. Curiously, the pointer will continue tracking mouse movement. Attached X clients also seem to be happy remaining connected. In practice, this happens quite a bit in Opera when switching tabs or scrolling web pages with large images. I've found a test case using "x11perf -putimage500" which triggers the same bug (I think?) after one or two seconds of drawing the test pattern. Connecting to the machine over the network shows X taking 100% CPU time. Attaching strace shows a rapidly repeating output of: --- SIGALRM (Alarm clock) @ 0 (0) --- sigreturn()...
