...tries to play the mailboxes unavail greeting. I've never had it occur when there is no unavail greeting. ...only thing I can guess is something about the blob for the recording goes wrong. It would be nice if asterisk handled that more gracefully. I post this mostly just for internet history. Notification of new voicemail by various methods

Stuttered Dialtone for multiple extensions
Hey all..I'm looking to start with a single FXS card but with 3 extensions for VM purposes only. I'd like to know if there is a way that you can have different stuttering dialtones depending on which extension has a VM. For example If x103 and x104 have VM can there be a distinctly different stutter for each mail box and have them play back at once or back to back so that when you picked up the phone you'd know who has voice mail? As I get the funds I'll be replacing my analog phones with IP but even cheap IP phones only...

choppy playback
...ice mails left in a box are fine as well. It's just the playback of any recorded message and any of the pre-recorded files. Anyone have an idea what might be going on? Voicemail() application returning -1 on a hangup
...ld be a bug report. But how can I work around this ? Would it be easy to patch the C code of app_voicemail.c to not have this behavior ?
