Multiple X100Ps -- order?
After over a month (well, ok, no more than an hour a day :) of planning,
getting hardware, tinkering and testing, I'm about to my Ultimate Home
Phone System (tm) online.
Connectivity to the outside world is provided by:
A. 1 POTS phone line connected through an X100P ($11/month, needed to
carry DSL)
B. 1 Vonage ATA186 connected through an X100P (needed for the rate
center :( )
C. 3 Broadvoice

E400P and 2 X100P working, but not together
Hey all,
?
I'm trying to get an E400P and 2 X100Ps working together in the one box
and don't seem to be having much luck.
?
I can get the two different types of boards working separately, but not
together.? I've made calls on both the X100P and have seen sync and
correct signalling on the E400P.? But when I try to enable to configs

testing asterisks
I am interested in running asterisks and gno phone. However, i have yet
to purchase the x100p cards. Is there a way for me to test asterisks in
like a simulated mode or something? (to get used to it and the configs
and stuff, prior to purchasing the x100ps?)
Thanks all,
A.J.

Discriminating between two incoming lines?
It seems like I've seen how to do this, but so far my archives search
has come up dry.
I have two X100Ps working with a single instance of asterisk, and I want
to do different things with incoming calls depending on which line has
rung in.
Could someone provide me with a quick pointer?
Thx.

Luxoncomm 3800 series FXO/FXS adapters?
Anyone here have experience with these devices? They would ppear to be
an affordable alternative to multiple X100Ps.

Digium Hardware Question from Newbie
...ke to setup a SOHO for business and home use.
Scenario One:
I have one analog line, 4 analog telephones.
Do I need a TDM400P + 4 FXS modules (Green) + X100P?
Scenario Two:
2 analog lines, 1 selective ring number for fax, 8 analog phones.
Is this what I need?
2 TDM400Ps and 8 FXS for 8 phones
2 X100Ps for 2 lines
or maybe:
3 TDM400Ps and 8 FXS and two FX0 modules (Red)
Thank you,

Recording outbound analog calls with X100P
...gium TDM400Ps or Sangoma
A200s with 4 FXO and 4 FXS modules. The FXO modules would be connected
to the existing PBX and the FXS modules to the existing analog phones.
Then with a simple dialplan, all inbound and outbound calls could be
recorded by Monitor.
I wanted to mock this up using some X100Ps that I had laying around, but
found that I could only record inbound calls. I believe that I need an
FXS interface to record outbound analog calls but my past experience is
with T1 interfaces, so I could be mistaken.
If anyone could suggest any improvements to my recording scheme, they

Best echo-free and trouble-free system?
We currently have a 15-phone system using Asterisk, a combination of
analog phones/Grandstream HandyTone-286 and Grandstream BT101s, and 4
X100Ps connected to analog lines. The system works well except for
the occasional echo problem. I have all the echo parameters
configured, removed all the extra incoming analog lines except to the
PBX, etc. following all the advice on the wiki and on the mailing
list. I'm not positive if the echo i...

Cheap Learning Environment
Hello all,
Like many of you I'm sure have done, I'd like to build an * box at home
for testing/educational purposes (and to eventually have one killer
fancy schmancy phone system for my SOHO).
If I have two standard phone lines in my house, what is the cheapest
hardware solution to interface them with *?
Thanks!

TDM400P and AGGRESSIVE_SUPPRESSOR dropping calls
...alls.
I installed the latest CVS of everything, and we've been getting
random hangups. If I disable AGGRESSIVE_SUPPRESSOR, the random
hangups seem to stop but we of course experience *really* bad echo.
I have busydetect=yes and busycount=8, which has previously been
working just fine with the X100Ps.
Does anyone have an idea what's going on or how to fix it?

Subject: [Asterisk-Users] Will Adtran TSU 600 work with *?
Hi,
I am looking at getting adtran tsu 600 p/n 1200.076L2 for my
small office
It comes with 6 FXS ports and I would use 2 X100Ps for FXO
ports.
Would that work ? Is there anything I would have to be aware of
in such configuration?
What would be a better solution?

X100P Kernel Panic
Hi,
I know this seems to be a hit topic at the moment but no matter where I look
I can't find an answer.
I have got a simple Linux fedora core 2 installation, asterisk running and 2
X100Ps' and 1 TDM400 with the FXS modules (thou I've taking this out to
simplify things).
Sometimes and not always after hanging up on the Zap channel the box will do
a kernel panic, or just loading asterisk when it setups up the zap channels,
or when receiving an incoming call! Error is:

Asterisk hogging CPU resources
Here's the problem:
I start asterisk, and it takes up around 3-4% of my CPU
resources.
However, this number continues to climb over the hours until it
is close to 100%.
Usually it takes around a day to climb up to approximately 95 or
96%

What would be required for this?
Hey All,
I have a question that I'm curious about. I want to
set up a 4 phone system in my home with 2 actual lines
coming into the house. Both or just regular lines
(not sure of this matters?), one being VoIP and the
other just a regular analog line. For now though I
just want the VoIP line coming in, but would like the
ability to expand to 2 lines in the future. What type

Beginners help
Hi,
I recently purchased two X100Ps and a TMD40B. I have set everything up
according to the instructions however I can't get asterisk to pick up an
incoming call (It just keeps ringing). Also, when I pick up an internal
extension I get dead air. I searched the mailing list for 3+ hours -- What
am I missing?

Sounds like an irq problem. If it works with both x100ps in the same slots
without the tdm, but the tdm card makes it fail, try moving the tdm card to
another pci slot.
