Hi I'm changing from fetchmail to getmail, in order to fetch my mail from several mail servers and deliver it to my local dovecot server. Fetchmail supports LMTP, getmail doesn't. So I'm making getmail call dovecot-lda for delivering the mail. But now, the incoming mail doesn't get filtered through sieve any longer. However, this command works: sieve-filter -v -u v

And here comes my previous question: it would be great if there is a way to log the matching word in order to know what word in that list was the "culprit". Hi everybody! I manage a mail server running Dovecot 2.2.21 with Pigeonhole 0.4.10. I successfully configured sieve and use it also to filter some spam messages. Here is one of the script I use to filter messages on the basis of prohibited words in message body. Hello! I've found it out, how you can solve/work around the problem: Nextcloud needs MariaDB. It won't work (so it seems) with MySQL. So mariadb- server needs to be installed. This replaces MySQL (mysql-server-core-5.7 and mysql-client-core-5.7) with MariaDB. The problem is that after that, Akonadi won't start any longer. "aconadictl start" outputs a lot of messages.

Hi I've upgraded dovecot from 2.2.22 to 2.3.0.1, and now I can't log in any longer. My mail client says that the user name and password are rejected by dovecot. I get this messsage in the system logs: % journalctl -u dovecot.service (...) M?r 03 01:39:23 desktop systemd[1]: Stopped Dovecot IMAP/POP3 email server. M?r 03 01:39:23 desktop systemd[1]: Started Dovecot IMAP/POP3 email server.

Another remark: I have installed the new version from the PPA provided by dovecot.org: deb https://repo.dovecot.org/ce-2.3-latest/ubuntu/xenial xenial main Before (2.2.22) I had installed it from the ubuntu (canonical) package sources - and not the PPA provided by dovecot.org.
