dns entries look weird in remote administration dns tool
...ted the dns records from our dns
server using samba-tool. Everything seems to work ok but when I look at
the dns
entries with the windows dns remote administration tool it all looks
very weird. Here's an example:
This is the insert command:
samba-tool dns add samba4.example.com example.com www1 A 192.168.0.120
-U administrator
When I query the dns with samba-tool I get this (looks fine to me);

Correct, resumable, large-file flags
Hello.
I'm a long-time rsync user, but I've encountered a case today and I
just can't seem to get rsync to do the right thing.
I want to mirror a directory A on server www1.example.com to a
directory B on www2.example.com. The directory A contains very
large but essentially read-only files. A server process on
www1.example.com periodically creates new large files and deletes old
ones. I want to synchronize the directories roughly every ten minutes.
It's important...

OCFS2 with Loop device
...name = cawww
--------------------------------------------
what i did so far is:
- create a file for the loop device on each server with: dd if=/dev/zero of=/var/lib/ocfs2/cawww bs=1G count=1
- setup loop device on each server: losetup /dev/loop0 /var/lib/ocfs2/cawww
- formated the device on www1 : mkfs.ocfs2 -b 4K -C 32K -N 4 -L ocfscawww /dev/loop0
i read here "http://www.oracle.com/technology/pub/articles/hunter_rac10gr2_iscsi_2.html#16"
that i need to format only on one server. is this correct?
- mount with: mount -t ocfs2 /dev/loop0 /cawww
mount works on www1, bu...

IE not repopulating forms under Rails views - very odd
...paradise.org/weblog/2005/08/ajax-tutorial-saving-session-across.html
There''s a very simple example at the bottom of that page that I''ve
been able to recreate perfectly... until I try to get it to work in
Rails under Internet Explorer. A working example is available here:
http://www1.zvents.com/test.rhtml
View the page source and hit reload a couple times to see the purpose
of the page. It takes advantage of browsers repopulating form fields
to achieve semi-persistent storage.
If I take that EXACT same source and move it into a rails view
rendered without layout, we get the...

histogram plots with many different samples
...s seen in the page whose address I
wrote below. I searched through the web a lot and I found a page which
describes how I can do it for older versions of R. For newer versions they
recommend to install the package R.basics in R.clusters but this does not
exist. The address of the web page is
http://www1.maths.lth.se/help/R/plot.histogram/
Unfortunately I could not find any other resource or help. Is it possible to
make histograms like I wanted with R? If so, could you please give any
advise on how I can do it?
Thank you,

Hardware suggestions
Hi,
I`m looking for reliable and redundant hardware for Asterisk. I`ve been
leaning towards buying one of these (HP 360 G5 with everything as redundant
as possible), which I know will be good enough for a few months before
needing to upgrade:
http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/us/en/en/WF05a/15351-15351-3328412-241644-241

Questions:
1) Any reason why I shouldn't? (bad past experience with HP hardware and
Asterisk for example)
2) Should I go Quad core or Dual-core? I will certainly go with two
processors (to start, simply for redund...
