What RH-like on a Dell XPS 15 (9590)?
...9;t run on this hardware. What would you recommend? Waiting for CentOS8 is not an option unless it's a question of few weeks. Are there respins of the CentOS7 DVDs w/ more top-recent kernels? I'm know of Fedora 26 or course, and not willing to switch to Ubuntu 16.10 at all. Regards, -- wwp -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... I use devilspie.x86_64 (0.22) from nux repo here (CentOS7), simply works. The repo also provides devilspie2.x86_64, BTW. Red Hat Developer Toolset 3 for CentOS6?
...I could find the 1.1 and 2 repos gently provided by Tru Huynh, but quid of a v3 of the toolset? I've just found that Qt 5.4 requires what's shipped in this v3 (gcc 4.9.1, binutils 2.24) and would prefer installing those from a repo. If not, the sources will rule. Any hint? [OT] linux on a PPC (mac mini)
...tro on such hardware. I gave Linux MintPPC 11 (http://www.mintppc.org/content/list-macs) a try, but the netinstall iso simply fails in installing a boot loader that conserves the original OS/X partition even after many tries and workarounds. Any hint or experience would be welcome? Regards, -- wwp -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... Write to USB pendrives horribly slow
...w,nosuid,nodev,uhelper=udisks,shortname=mixed,dmask=0077,utf8=1,flush) my suspicion is about the flush option, which I find atypical here. BTW, I'm still unable to control the mount options that are automatically set by Gnome - even if I can mount manually if I want. Any hint?
