Question about range select for static file serve in icecast
Hi, i'm trying to use range in a static file served by icecast 2.2 I can't find an example of an http request. Is something like http://my-icecast-server.com:8000/my-static-file.ogg?range=bytes%3D120000- correct? I can't get that working. Maybe I forgot an option on icecast side. I tried to open that file (without range) in winamp 5, but it downloads all the file while playing and

Antw: Log analysis
Hi Geoff, The streaming version of Webalizer can certainly do this (hmm, I can't seem to find the link anymore, it used to be on a separate website, not awstats.sf.net) and I use it for my clients. See my post from September 2004 regarding correct logging of SOURCE time. http://lists.xiph.org/pipermail/icecast/2004-September/007564.html Cheers, KJ > > Van: Geoff Shang

Re: Fallback trouble with icecast 2.1kh
In fact, after further investigation, the client receives data, but it seams those data are lacking an end of stream or end of packet tag. Trying to be clearer, here is an extract of the algorithm, with in UPPERCASE the value of the conditions. while (eos == 0) { while (eos == 0) { int result = oy.pageout(og); if (result == 0) SOMETIMES FALSE

Ices host hangup with icecast2.2kh9 on server host
Hi, I have the following config; 4 ices hosts, ices-kh60 2 are streaming to icecast2.1kh5 server. 2 are streaming to icecast2.2kh9 server. The 2 hosts streaming to icecast2.2kh9 are crashing (machine crash...) twice a week. I was thinking of hardware problem, but it think it's not the case. To feed ices, I use: rawrec | ices Which I found very sensitive and may cause machine handup if

Metadata and bad player behaviour : cut sound for short time when receiving metadata (kh versions of ices/icecast)
Hello, I was trying to add metadata to my OGG stream (ices 2,0-kh59, icecast 2.0-kh51). It works... but the players are doing a small sound cut at metadata reception : - VLC (maybe 1/3sec cut) - JORBIS (java. maybe 1/10sec, because I can have set higher priority to sound processing and not to comment handling) (player plateform: Mac OS X 1.3.6) With VLC... I can say comments are unusable,

Fallback trouble with icecast 2.1kh
Hello, I found a fallback trouble on icecast 2.1kh4 (but it's the same with 2.0 I think) : - ices streams live.ogg to icecast - icecast has a fallback live-default.ogg for live.ogg - a listener A listen at live.ogg - I shut down the source - the listener A is trying to read data from its connection, but receives nothing. Sometimes, it gets fallback data, sometimes nothing... (source
