restarted dovecot. I'm using 1.0alpha4. Now I'm still not able to get

comparing this to dovecot on my OS X box, Cyrus loads the messages

Lost transaction log file /Users/frohro/Maildir/dovecot.index.log.2 seq 1
...e messages from one
mailbox to another. Things hadn't been working well and I had
recently upgraded to alpha 2, so I moved all dovecot* files in my
Maildir/.
Things then seem to work better.

I will revisit my WRC Linux example. And yes, creating litmus tests
that use non-fake dependencies is still a bit of an undertaking. :-/

Recommendation/pointers please - Need to brush up on CentOS/Linux command line tools
Hi all,
I would very much appreciate any suggestions on any online resources, or
even a decent book to purchase with the focus of brushing up on Linux
command line tools. The focus is on troubleshooting type commands,
adding users from command line
and so forth.
While I am reasonably comfortable using the command line, I will be the
first to admit I am slow on some things and have gaps in

How do I increase the fd limit on OS X?
Hi All,
I just upgraded to the new 1.1rc5 from 1.0 that I had been using and it
advised me to increase the file descriptor limit. I'm not sure how to
do this. There is a command built into tcsh that allows me to do this
called limit, but sudo limit 4224 doesn't work, and usually dovecot is
started from the rc.local file if I recall right, and I'm not sure how
to set this up from

Trying to compile again
I'm currently running a pre 1.0 version of dovecot. Months back I tried to
compile beta6, couldn't due to some mysql client libraries issues, and gave
up. I'm now trying again with rc6.
This is on a fedora core2 box, with postfix 2.3 and mysql 5.0. The error
I'm getting when I run make is below. Any help would be greatly
appreciated, thanks! I'd really like to get up to

Xen and Enomaly
Hi list,
Right now I''ve to find some graphic (or web!) interface to administrate
our new data center infrastructure who will be running over Xen.
I''ve been googling around to find something, and looks like Enomaly is a
good choice.
Can anybody give me some feedback about this? Or maybe recommend another
front-end interface?
Thanks in advance.
Boris.
