rate limiting netmask w/ dd-wrt
I''m trying to setup a DD-WRT router (www.dd-wrt.com; embedded micro-device linux for the uninitiated) to rate limit all the traffic it receives from its wi-fi interface. I followed the instructions from the cookbook section on rate limiting (http://lartc.org/howto/lartc.ratelimit.single.html), but it doesn''t appear to...

Connecting two Asterisk
...ect and get a very good audio quality if I connect to other SIP-Provider or to an Asterisk (SAME configuration!!) installed on my Server... Well, I will try to configure the Asterisk on my Server to act as "proxy" so that all phones at home talk with my Asterisk at home (now called "wrt", and my mobile phone talk with my Asterisk on my server (now called "lucabert"). I followed this HowTo http://sysmagazine.com/posts/125303/ and I got both Servers talking together. I can call my mobile phone (logged in at "lucabert") from a phone logged in on "wrt&q...

Auto-provisioining Polycom 430 wth dd-wrt router
Hi all, I'm trying to use a wrt54gl router running dd-wrt as a provisioning server for a remote installation. I've got dhcp working and I have provisioning files ready to go. I understand that I need to set bootp option 66 to point to the tftp/ftp/http server. In fact, I have this working completely with the ISC dhcp se...

possible issue in Anaconda WRT processing %posttrans scriptlets?
....0.14 \ 10 /sbin/ldconfig Yet clearly, that didn't happen, and there's no dialog to the contrary. I was able to extract that scriptlet, and run it in the chrooted environment successfully. Is there something about anaconda-yum under CentOS 7 that does something counterintuitive WRT %posttrans scriptlets? -- Brian Reichert <reichert at numachi.com> BSD admin/developer at large

Services will not start automatically
Since upgrading a Linksys WRT3200ACM router from firmware DD-WRT v3.0-r39654 std (04/25/19) to firmware DD-WRT v3.0-r41586 std (11/21/19), the Samba Services will not start automatically. If the power is lost or the router is rebooted, the Samba Server has to be restarted (without making any setting changes) by Applying and Sav...

Classic NO AUDIO problem - DD-WRT and NAT forwarding - HELP PLEASE!
...pretty certain it's a NAT issue as the sip call establishes. I also made a succesful IAX2 call through IAX trunking and zap lines on this server but sip doesn't work. I register to an extension but even dialing *97 for voicemail wont' give me any audio. Picture posted here shows my DD-WRT NAT setting: *http://tinypic.com/r/21cuqlu/5* Any input will be much appreciated. This is running latest PBXinaFLASH (which has FreePBX) and I tried using externip=x.x.x.x/255.255.248.0 in /etc/asterisk/sip_nat.conf but it was of no use. Thanks, Bruce -------------- next part -------------- An H...

a possible heads up wrt CERN experiment breaking SL 5.6
This may or may not be of interest to CentOS developers; if it is not or if it is redundant of your efforts to keep atop of what's happening, you have my apologies. Whether it is joint or disjoint wrt to the upstream code is not known at this point, but I have submitted a request for elucidation if CERN security allows. kind regards/ldv ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Ewan Mac Mahon <ewan at macmahon.me.uk> Date: Wed, Feb 9, 2011 at 10:11 AM Subject: SL 5.6 released? [PATCH 00/02] broken page handle wrt migration
These 2 patches are used to handle broken page wrt migration. Generally there are 2 cases: the broken page occur before migration, and the broken page occur during migration. Patch 01 handles the case that broken page occurred before migration: At the sender, the broken page would not be copied to target while its pfn_type and pfn number would be...

Early warning wrt Win2K
It looks like Microsoft buggered up Win2000 so that explorer hangs while trying to view a directory on a Samba server. I can't experiment any more since I removed Win2K beta 3, but I thought I'd give the list a warning. -- Ben Kosse <bkosse@thecreek.com> PC Technician -- Coldwater Creek, Inc. (208) 265-7114

wireless ATA
...ports, so the very basic idea is to buy one of them and put both an OpenVOX card and a 802.11g radio card in it. Is there any reason these smallish motherboards would be unable to power both boards? Heat issues? Any suggestions on how to choose one of the wifi cards? I would like to run DD-WRT on this beast to handle the wifi-client mode, and I noticed (though have not tried) that DD-WRT has a build that includes asterisk, which would of course drive the FXS port. I figure the whole thing should cost less than US$250, and in quantity perhaps much less. Another thought is to skip the...

browseURL question
...e function in a UNIX environment, I have to use two sets of quotations if I have the & symbol in the URL. For Windows I only need to use the first set. For example, on Windows: browseURL("http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=Bioconductor&ei=UTF-8&fr=fp-tab-web-t&n=20&fl=0&x=wrt") will call up the appropriate website. However, if I use the same command under UNIX, the website will be truncated after the first &, but the call will work if I use: browseURL("'http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=Bioconductor&ei=UTF-8&fr=fp-tab-web-t&n=20&fl=0&am...
