Postfix and Dovecot LDA vs. LMTP
I'm new to Dovecot and will be using it with Postfix. I'm looking for
recommendations regarding the use of Dovecot's LDA or LMTP for virtual
mailbox delivery.
Many of the simple examples on the wiki use LDA. So I've set that up
initially. But apparently an advantage of LMTP is recipient verification.
So, as I understand it, LMTP would let Postfix know whether or not the

poor performance when copying files with windows client
Hello everyone,
in my setup I have two samba file server with clustered samba 4.6.7 and
glusterfs 3.10. The server are connected via a 10 Gb network (one for
clients and an extra network for gluster). When I am copying files from
different server ( centos 7 1611, samba 4.4.4, connected with 10Gb) to
the file servers with scp, the maximum speed is 70 MB/s (for small files
this is decreasing).

DomU fails after 8 hours
Hi,
I got a very annoying problem. My DomU tends to hang after working fine for
about 6 ~ 10 hours. I turns into a zombie state and then I need to reboot
the entire system in order to make It work again. Then it runs fine for
about 6 ~10 hours and it crashes and turns back into zombie state again. Is
this because of the lvm snapshot I created? Does anybody know how I can log
some extra

Maximum likelihood estimation of a truncated regression model
...rcept, bhat and 1/sigma estimates from OLS of the linear model [I
get the standard error estimate from OLS and obtain the sigma by
multiplying it by sqrt(n) where n=200]. I realised that in many of the
iterations, the above code doesn't optimize as the bhat estimate I get
from the above code is worser than the one I get from STATA although
optim (or maxNR) says the function has converged successfully. I
realise that the starting parameter values could be a reason for these
sub-optimal solutions.
1. Is there an optimization routine that doesn't need starting parameter values?
2. Can you plea...

is there a way to insert 'description' for a relayed stream?
...I might as well start
experimenting with multiple feeds & formats, now that we have a
Dual G5 to use. :) But what's the use of two mp3 threads running
the very same specs just to get the <description> data properly to
icecast-YPs?
Of the two, missing the AIM/ICQ/IRC info is the worser, so we are
going without any icecast-YP descriptions. (I don't have nor want
a website where we could refer listeners to such info, this is just
a hobby for cryin' out loud <g>, but if AIM/ICQ/IRC data is part of
an official icy-spec then why not have icecast2/YPs support it?)....
