Network routes
I am unable to ping NE.TW.RKB.IP1 from an outside network. Other machines which do not have access or routes for NET.WOR.KA.0 respond just fine. How do I get it to respond on both NET.WOR.KA.0 and NE.TW.RKB.0 given all default traffic should go through NET.WOR.KA.1 unless it is in reply to traffic from NE.TW.RKB.1 or there is an outage. Using Samba from One Unix box to one Win98 PC
To all the helpful people out there, We currently use samba on our Unix server and have win98 clients from a winNT network that we share files with. I have a user that will soon be working at home using a Unix (SGI Octane2) box and a Win98 PC. He wants to be able to share files between the machines. My question is will I need some kind of hub between the two for them to make Samba work or

CentOS 6 is a bear
Gotta say, centos has been tough to install and get working. The anaconda installer makes large drive setups horridly tedious (especially if reinstalling a lot). Package selection seems a bit off... I did a virtualization package, no custom..did not install qemu, libvirt, and all attempts to do any virtualization failed due to non-installed packages. Then I decided to select all the

[LLVMdev] changes to raw_fd_ostream
I'm getting seemingly odd SegFaults when writing out using a raw_fd_ostream in the current trunk (last version worked, believe it was 153818, or similar). Again, nothing in the release notes... should I be scanning the svn log? For example, I have something like: raw_fd_ostream fout("out.txt", errorStr=""); .... fout<<"Hello World, how are you!"\n";

Need to move mail
Hi all My imap server is getting to the stange where I need to start worring about the disk usage. Due to the number of users we seem to be hiring, I need to start looking at a new mail server, suppose its a blessing in disguise too. Would it be ok to just tar my current users mail (there home directory, I dont use virtual setup) and the untar it on the new mail server. Is there anything

[LLVMdev] changes to raw_fd_ostream
It looks like some kind of file IO buffer overflow. I'm not dumping any long strings at one time, but I am keeping the file open for the entire run. I've yet to find a correlation to other C files. ..., channel prog etc.) does not do fax tone detection. I have spoken to the voicetronix guys , understand what has to happen there and may do some hacking if I can resolve the second issue. Meanwhile, I guess I can do some sort of manual (or pseudo manual) transfer to a spandsp extension. (2) More worringly, when I do force a transfer to rxfax, it does not appear to train with the fax machine that I am using (samsung sf-330). [LLVMdev] changes to raw_fd_ostream
So I did a clean checkout and build and still have this issue, did something changed with the way/when it's getting flushed? My old revision did not have this issue, this is an issue strictly with LLVM it seems. Change the IP/name of the domain member server
Hi I have two servers: old production and new to change the old one. What is the right way to change to brand new server (with new Samba) in a way transparent to end users? Both (old and new one) servers are domain member servers. What I want to achieve is to: leave the old servers name and IP but assign them to new server. I have done almost everything, so the new server has the data, the

Disk space usage with mdbox
Shot in the dark here...haven't tried it myself so no promises. There's probably a much better way to do this but sometimes a little "brute force" helps. Theoretical steps: 1. Stop all mail processes - both SMTP and IMAP. 2. Use "doveadm sync" to backup the user mailbox, e.g., doveadm backup -u user mdbox:/tmp/usermail 3. Verify /tmp/usermail looks reasonable

Disk space usage with mdbox
Hello, I am using dovecot with mdbox+sis and I notice an ever increasing disk space usage since I converted mailboxes from Maildir to mdboxes. I have checked with a user and while it actually uses only 65K, his mdbox files on disk are more than 6G. The backup of his mailbox is just 64K. Any suggestions ? Below are some relevant commands: [root at mail ~]# doveadm quota get -u test Quota

Can't run Active State perl .exe
I am having trouble running an exe that was written in Active State perl. In Windows, I would go to the CLI and type Code: C:\pager\pager.exe cl Passing "cl" as an arguement that passes the file "cl.config" to the pager.exe program. I have not had any success running this in Wine, and I do not know if it is a syntax problem or if Wine does not work with it. I have tried:
