retitle 502123 xen-utils-unstable: Debian patch breaks paravirtualized guest initrd
thanks
I see that this bug is still present in pkg-xen svn:
http://svn.debian.org/wsvn/pkg-xen/trunk/xen-unstable/debian/patches/tools-python-xen-xm-relative-path.diff?op=file
Perhaps I wasn?t clear how severe this problem is. Using the current
Debianized xen-utils-unstable, it is impossible to boot any

Ordered vs. journal real-worl performance
...//www-106.ibm.com/developerworks/linux/library/l-fs8/
"ext3's data=journal mode is incredibly well-suited to situations where
data needs to be read from and written to disk at the same time." This
is the situation that exists on my box.
My question is: has anyone had any other real-world experience to backup
the claims of the above statement? I would love to get better
performance, AND have better data integrity, but that seems to good to
be true :)
Also, if I do use data=journal would I need to retune the journal/fs?
It is a ~400GB file system with some fairly large files (no...

Sip phones using the wrong context for an outbound call
Hi,
recently I changend a few things in the configuration of the Asterisk
1.2.17-BRIstuffed-0.3.0-PRE-1y-d of a customer. One demand was that
different groups of SIP-Phones are using different trunks to the outside
worls, so I moved some of them to a Support context.
However, dial out from this phones failes as they're still looking for
an extension in the default context, which doesn't exist ([default] is
now pretty crippled for security reasons).
Is there a way to see in which context a peer (wether SI...

is it possible to duplicate a key? --new
...lenguages in a database. I want
to have the key for the string in english be the ''key'' for all the
corresponding traslations of that string. For example:
(database columns)
lenguage-------------key-----------------value-----
english hello "hello worl"
spanish hello "hola mundo"
french hello "Bon jour xxxxx"
the point here is that all strings from diff. lenguages share the same
key. I was thinking of creating three different tables and link them

packet loss with re(4)
With FreeBSD 6.3-RELEASE, I'm finding significant packet loss
(sometimes 85%).
If I insert an Intel nic (fxp), there is nil packet loss with similar
tests (ping -c 100).

Dovecot Proxy
...uses the same port
? - but I didn't find any documentation for that and need help
- find a way to configure dovecot-proxy/passdb to return starttls=y when
dovecot-submission is used (use a different passdb)
? - but I didn't find any documentation for that and I'm not sure, if
this worls on service/protocol level
- find a way to configure the passdb answer based on the used
port/protocol. But I only know the parameter %u, %d and %p.
? - so it would be nice to find a way to also select the protocol (if
already developed)
- find a way to make a patch in dovecot (which isn't...
