Eliminating "offline caching" events on XP workstatons?
Our XP SP1 (patched with everything but SP2) workstations are logging events like: "Windows has detected that offline caching is enabled on the roaming profile share - to avoid profile corruption (etc.)" Following some goodle threads this was added to smb.conf (attached) csc policy = disable but the event still occurs, although only when something has been saved to the profile before

Backup for linux/asterisk
After getting my feet wet with asterisk@home, I want to set up a second asterisk box to add a call shop billing and other add-ons such as LCR. My question is as follows. custom puppet facts
I have written a custom puppet fact using a ruby script. It is very simple - it just adds a string to a fact. However I have written a module but it appears to me that the custom fact has been applied to all my machines without me specifying any node definitions. Samba login scripts
Sorry to post a newbie question which may of been asked before but I am struggling to get my head around how to get login scripts to work using samba. I am currently testing Suse Standard Server 8 which comes with Samba 2.2.8a-UL. Using the Suse graphical web interface I can setup users and groups and also setup smb shares. I have told the linux server to act as a PDC. I can't find anywhere

Strange Usermapping problem with 3.0.23b
Yesterday evening I upgraded my FreeBSD 5.5-RELEASE Server from Samba 3.0.22 to 3.0.23.
