[Announce] Samba 4.6.8, 4.5.14 and 4.4.16 Security Releases Available
Hi Team,
Workaround for
CVE-2017-12151 :- client max protocol = NT1 and
CVE-2017-12163 :- server min protocol = SMB2_02
are contradicting to each other.
CVE-2017-12151 impacts on SMB3 protocol but workaound suggst to use NT1.
I have below queries regarding this.
Is SMB2 protocol also impacted by CVE-2017-12151 ?
Can i use client max protocol = SMB2 so that it does not contradict with
workaround of CVE-2017-12163 ?

known_hosts question for Ubuntu Server 14.04 and 16.04 LTS
Hello & thanks for reading.
I'm having a problem configuring known_hosts from scripts so an accept
key yes/no prompt doesn't appear.
I'm using this command to detect if the server is known and add it to
known_hosts:
if ! ssh-keygen -F ${IP_ADDR} -f ~/.ssh/known_hosts > /dev/null 2>&1; t
hen ssh-keyscan -p ${PORT} ${IP_ADDR} >> ~/.ssh/known_hosts; fi
This works

Samba autofs autoumount problem with C$, D$, etc refusing to unmount
This is primarily an autofs issue, but I wanted to get the problem and
the workaound into the Samba lists for reference. I use RHEL 5 and
RHEL 6 these days, and take advantage of CIFS automounting with the
built-in Samba pacakges. The problem still occurs with the more modern
cifs-utils that's been separated out in more recent Samba 3.6.x and
Samba 4 toolkits as well.

HI zytor,
I hope you can help me. I have above network chipset on a Mitsubishi
im-2000 mobo. I don't see an actual chip on the mobo w/ this ID so I
suspect it embedded in the mobo BIOS or in one of the 3 Intel chips. I
am attempting to use LTSP to boot a workstation w/ above NIC chipset. It
has imbedded boot to net software (Intel Landesk service agt v.99b) using
PXE. I can't get it

Samba was compiled from source with default heimdal kerberos
(./configure --with-systemd --enable-gnutls) /I know now that
--with-systemd is not needed, but didn't now that the time of compilation/.

sprintf error: "only 100 arguments allowed"
I'm trying to apply a function defined in the VW R docs, that attemps to
convert a data.table object to Vowpal Wabbit format. In the process i'm
getting the error in printf mentioned in the subject.
The original function is here:
https://github.com/JohnLangford/vowpal_wabbit/blob/master/R/dt2vw.R
Below there is a small example that reproduces the error. The function
works great with
