A simple scenario
Does anyone know how to setup asterisk up so that 1 home user can dial into
it make and receive calls. I have recently setup an asterisk server, I am a
bit woolly with the VoIP technology and I am not sure what PCI card I would
need. I am a home user using broadband and the company where the server is
installed is also on broadband.
If anyone knows how to setup this scenario, I would much appreciate it and
it would get me on my way with the asterisk server....

Proposal for O1/Og Optimization and Code Generation Pipeline
...t here and there if the debugging experience really was that much better, but I think it gives a good indication of at least what our users are looking for. Essentially -O2 but with as few changes as we can get away with making to make the debugging experience better. I know that this is somewhat woolly, so it might be that your proposed pipeline is the closest we can get that matches such an aim, but once we've decided what -Og should mean, I'd like to try and justify any changes with some real data. I'm willing for my team to contribute as much data as we can. We've also been u...

Samba dropping connections
Hi all
Thanks to David Collier-Brown for the mail on Friday - we are looking
into it right now.
Our setup is:
RedHat 6.1, Samba 2.0.5a, on a HP LH3 NetServer - 256 MB, 5x9GB RAID 5,
also running Apache and the Intranet. Cisco Catalyst 2900 (24 port)
switch, and a mix of HP and NetGear hubs. PCs are connected to the hubs
and then upload to the switch, the servers are straight onto the
switch.

New faxing protocol. Good/Bad ?
Hi List,
I was thinking the other day that even with T.38 there are still some issues with faxing. I was thinking of a protocol that instead of just sending down the fax tones an ATA or "VOIP fax machine" would get the entire fax convert it into some sort of image and pass it down the line to the receiving end. I got the idea from RFC2833. Yes I know that fax machines send bit by bit and

[Fwd: Re: School Server Setup]
Hi Harry,
Has much has I like Centos and RH for big sophisticated setup, it would
not be my first choice for your project.
For 25 systems and if you want this done without spending to much time,
Clarkconnect would by my first choice for server side OS (#2 would be SME).
For me CentOS x64 is #1 choice for enterprise (+500 users with Terabytes
of storage ) sever solution.
If you have little

Proposal for O1/Og Optimization and Code Generation Pipeline
Hi All,
I’ve been thinking about both O1 and Og optimization levels and have a
proposal for an improved O1 that I think overlaps in functionality
with our desires for Og. The design goal is to rewrite the O1
optimization and code generation pipeline to include the set of
optimizations that minimizes build and test time while retaining our
ability to debug.
This isn’t to minimize efforts around

[Hackathon Minutes] Xen 4.4 Planning
This took me a while to post, but given that we are not starting 4.4
just yet, this may be appropriate now. I may have misrepresented some
stuff as it has been 4 weeks since I wrote these.
Cheers
Lars
