Shorewall 4.0.0 Beta 4
I''ve uploaded Beta 4. It corrects a bad bug involving exclusion in the
hosts file. In addition, it contains the first release of a new
Bridge/firewall implementation that uses the reduced-function physdev
match found in kernel 3.6.20 and 3.6.21.

filename paths different in server mode

is a new problem. It did not used to do that with older versions and
it does not do that with compilations on other systems.
$ rsync -a ewok::cadroot/release/bin/ .
$ ls
bin
Where did that extra directory come from? Testing with a different
machine works as expected.
$ rsync -a wookie::cadroot/release/bin/ .
$ ls
set_env
...more contents of bin not shown...
In the bad case I am getting an extra directory in the path. I don't
get this in other configurations. How can I debug this? I am only
seeing this problem on HP-UX. And of course that is the platform I am

traffic shaping stranges

Port Forwarding Trouble with Mandrake MNF
Please excuse my ignorance as I''m a linux newbie.
Basically I have a setup of an adsl ethernet modem (nated and then
everything forwarded to the external ip of my Mandrake mnf firewall)
connected to the mnf firewall which then connects to the lan.

RFC1918_LOG_LEVEL
I have tried (RH7.3/shorewall-1.3.12-1) both of the following in
shorewall.conf to eliminate ''rfc1918'' logging into /var/log/messages:
RFC1918_LOG_LEVEL=debug
RFC1918_LOG_LEVEL=notice
Neither appear to eliminate the logging.
