getent does not get remote users

The service -lines were edited according to the instructions in
smb.conf comments
to include system-auth-winbind:

A working solution to the XP domain reboot problem
...do this:
follow everything in http://hr.uoregon.edu/davidrl/samba.html#SAMBA-PDC
then, use this smb.conf, tailored to your system, and follow my instructions
below it, and hopefully it will work.

Metalog and Shorewall
Hi Tom and list,
Still trying to set up Shorewall logging. I understand that Shorewall require syslog to get logging working, however I have metalog. Is this
possible to use metalog as logging facility for Shorewall? I was reading

method ( ULOG ). I understand that I have to compile ULOG support in the
