Guest woking set size
Hi guys,
Is there a way that VMM can know or estimate the dynamic memory usage
information (maybe like /proc/meminfo)? I know that VMM definite know
the total memory assigned to guest, but more details other than that?
Thans,
Lei

Shared folders not woking for me
Hello,
I'm new to dovecot, please forgive me my silly questions. :-)
My OS is FreeBSD 6.1. I just installed dovecot 1.0.beta9. I have created
a public namespace this way:
namespace public {
separator = /
prefix = Public/
location = maildir:/var/mail/public
}
namespace private {
separator = /
prefix =
location = maildir:/home/%u/Maildir
inbox = yes
}
Then I created a new

Have you had NUT woking on CentOS 6.5 for a USB UPS ?
Hi,
Is anyone running NUT on CentOS 6.5 for a USB connection from a UPS ?
The reason I ask is that I have not been able to achieve this by EPEL
repository packages, nor by downloading and building from the NUT
source http://www.networkupstools.org/source/2.7/nut-2.7.2.tar.gz
I have been unable to get Debian NUT packages to work with my Eaton E5
USB UPS, however I have been successful when

Apache wakes-up inactive Exim
Had a surprising event on C 6.5.
Exim was the only MTA installed. It was partially configured (with ACL,
Router, Transport) and definitely not running.
I was remotely testing a web page. A web page error condition invoked
the embedded PHP mail() command.
To my astonishment something in Centos woke-up Exim. Exim sent the email
and then became inactive again. The Exim logs does not show any

winbind sometimes does not resolve sid to a name
Sometimes a group sid does not get resolved to its name.
Is this a settings problem? Looks like winbind deamon
went dormant for a while and then woke up?
I am using interface wbcLookupSid provided by the
library libwbclient.so for resolving sids to names.
These are the winbind related parameters in
/etc/samba/smb.conf

I have the text_field_with_auto_complete woking on my user DB using
last_name. so looking for ''ivanoff'' works great, but I can''t find
''john''. Plus I like to have ''last_name, first_name'' show up in the
dropdown.
what I can''t figure out is how to concat first_name and last_name to
make a name and use that to look it.

glibc-2.5-58.el5_6.2.i686 broken?
Hi,
I woke up Saturday morning unable to boot my freshly upgraded 5.6 with
grub hanging at "GRUB". After getting the boot loader fixed I
experienced crashes in evolution. Downgrading glibc to 2.5-58 seems to
fix these issues. Anyone else seeing this?
Leonard.

Early morning strange error saying: Status: 500 Internal Server Error
So I have updated to the latest mongrel and fastthread and my
environment is as follows:
Debian 3.1
Rails 1.1.6
Ruby 1.8.5
Mongrel 0.3.18
Fastthread 0.4
Mongrel Cluster 0.2.1
Apache 2.2.3
I again woke up this morning to my disappointment of seeing the
strange Status: 500 Internal Server error. It happens the same every
morning, I have three mongrels running, two give the error, one

cygwin 1.7.x rsync 3.0.6 hangs at arbitrary reproducible points in transfers
Since upgrading to cygwin 1.7.x, I'm unable to complete rsync jobs to a
Debian machine (running stable). cygwin rsync is 3.0.6; Debian is 3.0.3.
The transfer goes for a while and then just gets stuck halfway through
an arbitrary file. If I cancel and restart, same thing (but gets a
little further). If I manually copy the file in question, it will
usually go a bit longer and then get stuck

yum error
Hello friends, today I encountered this issue on one of the centos
machines, yesterday everything seemed woking normally:
$ sudo yum update
There was a problem importing one of the Python modules
required to run yum. The error leading to this problem was:

directory
Please install a package which provides this module, or

Balance taking a lot longer than before
Hi devs,
I''ve been using btrfs on my file server since 2.6.32 and after upgrading to .33 I noticed that rebalancing took way longer than before.
I have a 5 disk array used for a btrfs md setup, different hard drive sizes, brands, and interfaces.
The last time I rebalanced I was using about 800GB of space on the 4.6TB array, and I started before I went to sleep and it was done when I

Removing objects from workspace
Hi all,
I am currently woking with hundreds of objects in workspace and whenever I
invoke ls() to observe the names of the objects, there are too much of
unnecessary variables.
For example, if I only require say 3 or 4 objects from hundreds of objects
in workspace, are there any methods that may do the job?
I have tried rm(-c(x,xx,xxx)), but no luck..
Your feedback in this problem would be

unexpected UPS status
This is part UPS and part nut question.
I had a (intentional) power outage. The UPS/nut properly shut the system down when battery was down to 20%.
It ran for only 18 minutes rather than the expected 40 (see later).
After it charged to 37% I removed power from the UPS. After 4-5 minutes the system shut down.
However, when I restored power to the UPS the machine powered up immediately (no delay).

Can we get interprocedural register allocation work across module boundary?
Hello Mentors,
I have a very naive idea to get IPRA woking at link time and thus extending
its scope to intermodule. I seek some help if it seems to be a feasible
idea.
So idea is to take advantage of LTO's capability to work with bit code
files. LTO can optimize number of bitcode files and combine them into a big
module. LTO then generates native code for the big module.
So does it seem

Rails 1.1 hosed my Apache!
Just sharing an experience with you all -- hopefully you take better
precautions than I do. :-)
I have a few sites built with Rails 0.8.3 that were ugpraded to 1.0.
The newer sites are on edge rails. So when I heard 1.1 had come out,
I unfroze my new apps, and installed the new gem for Rails 1.1.
The sites that was operating on edge rails worked just fine.
However, the sites that were working

mac spoofing
Hi,
I have the following Problem:
My Rootserver stands at a hoster, I run a debian sarge and installed Xen
3 there latetly.
I booted the xen Kernel - everything ok.
However: when I started xend, the server instantly stopped responding.
My Hosters Support said, that was due to a sort of mac spoofing
protection in the switch, which disabled the Port, to which my server is
connected, because there
