locking .. smb locks and unix locks
...h one to authenticate against. Is this at all possible? It seems to join (smbpasswd -j ...) two domains, but only auths against one. To do this I'd like to run the two versions of Samba simultaneously on the one machine. I figure this would be easy enough if I have them bind to different listing addresses. However, since the two servers will sharing the same shares, will there be a problem with locking? Or will it...

I tried to work past the firewall by entering "shorewall clear" but I still can''t get past the gateway / firewall machine. Does this mean the NIC is damaged? When Shorewall is running I can navigate

Samba + winbind :shared resource not found
...binfo -u I can see the Win NT users, with wbinfo -g I can see the Win NT groups. All seems to be ok. Through the Midnight Commander, selecting FILE ->CHOWN I can see all users (FreeBSD + Win NT). Within the NT domain , I?m the user "clau", I used to log to the NT domain thru an Win 98 wkstation. Browsing the "network neighborhood" ,clicking on \\HOME\SambaSrv i see a folder named "clau". Doing double click appears the message "Shared resource not found"- It appears to be a permision problem. What i am doing wrong ? Below I give you my smb.conf: [global] id...
