Cohen's Kappa for beginners
...#39;ve got two vectors with ratings from two coders, like this: x<-c("red", "yellow", "blue", "red") #coder number 1 y<-c("red", "blue", "blue", "red") #coder number 2 I want to find Cohen's Kappa using the wkappa function in the psych package. The only example in the docs is using a matrix, which I'm afraid I don't understand--I don't know how to get there from what I've got. Could anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks! psy version 0.65 released
Dear R users, psy version 0.65 is on CRAN now. psy provides several methods used in psychometry (kappa, icc, cronbach, screeplot (with simulations), non linear mapping, etc.) A bug has been fixed in function wkappa (weighted kappa): in particular circumstances, the 2*2 table presented levels in an order different to what was suggested in the help file. The fpca function (PCA plot with pvalues and compatible with dependant/independant variables dichotomy) has been extended. As usual, any kind of feedback is...

Weighted Kappa for m Raters
..., probably malignant, probably benign, and benign. I want to compare all the raters but I want a weighted kappa to penalize differences between malignant and benign more than differences between malignant and probably malignant. I only found the weighted option in the 2-rater functions (kappa2, wkappa, cohen.kappa). The functions I found for multiple raters do not include a weighted option for categorical data (kappam.fleiss, kappam.light, lkappa). Anyone know a function that allows the calculation of weighted kappa for m raters? Thanks in advance! ~Marwa [[alternative HTML ver...
