Saving boolean attributes
Hi, I''m just learning Ruby on Rails and ran into something where I know I''m either doing something very stupid or I''m missing something. My model as a boolean attribute called active_flag. In my Sql Server database this is stored as a bit value. I then setup a method in my controller called "deactivate". This is very simple, it does: def deactivate

Klicking sounds in background
Hello, I have an IVR with Intel HMP SIP stack, which is a peer behind my Asterisk box (Asterisk 1.0.7, Digium PRI). When dialing in via PSTN, there are klicking sounds in the background, which do not appear, when dialing in via SIP (using Asterisk as pbx). The issue does not seem to be an alaw/?law problem. I tried trunking two Asterisk boxes via IAX and then call via two asterisks, but the

Windows rejects name registration
Dear people of samba, my problem seems to be a firewalled WinXP in our net. Our Samba is the Debian testing (Samba 3.x). It is configured to hold the browsing list and to become master. The nmbd.log shows: [2004/06/09 08:17:38, 0] nmbd/nmbd_incomingdgrams.c:process_local_master_announce(311) process_local_master_announce: Server PRAEPLAB at IP 129.217.168.62 is announcing itself as a local

data.frame error using sem package
I keep getting this error when I try to use the sem package. I and another person who has successfully used the sem package for similar analysis (fMRI effective connectivity) cannot figure out what is wrong with my code. I would appreciate any suggestions. The error message: Error in data.frame(object$coeff, se, z, 2 * (1 - pnorm(abs(z))), par.code) : arguments imply differing

antispam plugin crash
Hi, the dovecot antispam plugin crahses here on a nullpointer dereference in antispam_copy() at mailbox.c The crash tracks back to a call of antispam_classify_copy(asms->box_class, asmb->box_class) At that point in time asmb is set to 0x0, causing the process to crash with SIGSEGV. Regards, Thomas GDB output: Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. antispam_copy

User Migration question
Hello, I would like to migrate my user-accounts from a Samba 2 to a Samba 3 setup. Old Setup: Samba 2 with PAM support. PAM uses LDAP to store PosixAccounts New Setup: Samba 3 with "native" LDAP. PosixAccounts are already migrated to my new LDAP server. I tried pdbedit with my old smbpasswd file: ---snip--- # pdbedit -i smbpasswd:./smbpasswd build_sam_account: smbpasswd database

Replicated LDAP
Hello, I would like to have a central LDAP-Server in my main office and a replicated one in my satellite office, connected via VPN. Then I want my SAMBA-PDC in the satellite to use the local LDAP. I think this should end in: READ ---- Samba <-> Replicate WRITE ----- Samba -> Replicate <-referrer- Samba <-> Central

only the first ResetCDR works after upgrade to 1.6
Hello - I am upgrading from asterisk v1.2 to v1.6 and I am seeing a problem with recording CDRs using MySQL. Unlike all of the other postings and web pages I have found on this issue, my installation successfully stores the -first- CDR, but nothing after that. As background info, I will note that I don't use CDRs for billing, but more in a logging fashion, to record how a given call

OpenLDAP Samba4 Password Sync
Hi List, we currently evaluate Samba4. We've learned so far that we have to use our OpenLDAP-Server for some tools beside Samba4. So we wrote a script that creates Samba4-AD Users when we add them to OpenLDAP. The problem is that we need to sync the passwords when an user changes it within Windows. How can we get the Password Hash from Samba4-AD and is there a way to write it (in case the

Can lmer() fit a multilevel model embedded in a regression?
I would like to fit a hierarchical regression model from Witte et al. (1994; see reference below). It's a logistic regression of a health outcome on quntities of food intake; the linear predictor has the form, X*beta + W*gamma, where X is a matrix of consumption of 82 foods (i.e., the rows of X represent people in the study, the columns represent different foods, and X_ij is the amount of

postfix, dovecot, samba, winbind
Hello List, we're currently working on the migration of our LDAP/Samba3-Domain to Samba4-Active-Directory. So far everything works fine. Postfix can deliver Mails using ProxyAddresses-Information from the AD and Dovecot delivers the mail. Unfortunately when Postfix tells Dovecot to deliver the mail he submit the username without the AD-Domain part: Feb 28 17:17:59 tpdc

Hot data Tracking
What happened to the hot data tracking feature in btrfs? There are a lot of old patches from aug 2010, but it looks like the feature has been completly removed from the current version of btrfs. Is this feature still on the roadmap?

LDAP: Mixing local and LDAP-Users
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, is it possible to mix local and LDAP-Users? Especially I need to know if it's possible to use an LDAP-Group (like the group that is mapped to Domain Administrators) together with an local user. (If I use "adduser $username $ldap-group" the group isn't found, even if the group is shown using "getent group".) If this
