If I download the same file from the UCLA or University of Bristol mirror, I also get corrupt archive files. On the other hand, if I download from the University of Wisconsin mirror, the file arrives uncorrupted. I've verified this at each site multiple times using computers attached to T1 lines, to DSL lines, and to cable modem lines. I don't know much about mirroring, but is it possible that some mirror sites are storing (possibly) corrupted archive files...
