The Clients and Samba is using the same subnet. Samba is configured with wins support and as masterbrowser. Clients are using sambaserver as winsserver. Pings on the netbiosname of the sambaserver works. Befor samba3 i used samba2.2.8 and there it worked. I use suse linux 8.0. Can someone please help me?? Thanks a lott!! Stefan

I am having a speed issue with Samba and only one folder (/var/www/html) I'm not sure what to try next. I have problems browsing to this folder from WINXP, it seems to hang for about 30 seconds before accessing it. This doesn't happen with any other directories on the box. Yesterday, I finally jad an extended opportunity to try using wt to set up wine again. Last time I tried, ie wouldn't work when I got through. This time, it worked great. I am thinking that part of the problem was due to the time required for the download of IE, using the dialup connection. Winsserver timed out a number of times. By installing again, the downloaded stuff was already there, so much faster. I've had this happen before when the trust account between the client and server was out of sync (restored a disk image that had a different trust account password) To fix this, it has been sufficient to quit the domain, reset
