But as soon as I mount the Samba share on to the mount point, the permissions for the owner get reverted back to root instead of amandabackup. We have a very old MS-Windows domain running on a Win2K advanced server. After the most recent update to Samba it appears that we can no longer connect to shares on that system from our CentOS-6.4 workstations. We are having difficulty setting permissions with Samba 3.0.2. Whenever we use the DOS attrib +r command to make a file read only (or through the file properties) we get an "Access Denied" error for all users except the owner.
