...ne, and then deleting and recreating .wine will have no affect on such an installation. If this is true, could I move these programs out of .wine to another folder by moving from .wine/drive_c/Program Files/... to another folder setup by wineprefixcreate and modifying the program calls to take this WINPREFIX setup into account ?

installation of Office 2007 under Arch x86_64 fails
Running x86_64 with multilib enabled and am unable to install office 2007 to a fresh wineprefix.

Bundled internet explorer doesn't work.
Hi. I've wine installed on Gentoo x86_68. As we know, IE is preinstalled in winprefix, but in my case it doesn't run for both WINEARCH as x86 or x64.
It says program error showing me a usual Windows error. Terminal output (http://pastebin.com/42cDr9Xn) as such.
I installed IE7 (32), it installed fine but it doesn't work at all... it's completely broken.

Steam loading my profile and dying
Hello,
Ubuntu newb here. I loaded some games onto my laptop that has a fresh copy of Ubuntu 11.04 and they worked flawlessly with wine. I am now trying to get steam to work. I downloaded it through their website and opened the file through wine/winetricks and it will update and log in to my account, but once it logs in it just closes. No ghost window, update tab or anything. I've

3DsMax 9 issues.
Hello, I would like to brainstorm an issue that has not be solved for about a year.
Why am I here.
Well I have been asked by many others to try and get any version of 3DsMax working on wine, I have picked Max 9 32bit.
However the current release version from Autodesk is 3DsMax 2012
I currently use Ubuntu 10.10 and Wine version 1.3.37 and will stick with this release as I dislike unity.

Unhandled exception launching games from Steam
So after years of running a 'pure' Linux machine, I finally decided to install Wine so I could play some of my old games - and it's been a disaster.
