Integration of Windows mail client in Konqueror
Hello together! I would like pegasus mail as default mail client for konqueror. After clicking on a mailto link there should be pegasus mail started in this way: "wine winpm-32.exe -T <to address> -S <subject>" My question was, how can i set up the Konqueror in such way? Has anyone tried something like this? Bye, Timo

Wine - Launching Programs
...e but am getting a wee bit confused running my email program. I have my original windows installation accessible from Linux, I also have a copy under /home/.wine and also on a USB stick. In order to use my most up to date version I have altered the filepath (eg wine /media/windows/system/pmail/winpm-32.exe -Z 12 but for some reason the same program file appears whatever filepath I use - I can tell by the date of the messages. Am I doing something obviously wrong here Geoff Lane

Running Pegasus Mail v4.21c under Linux via WINE v20050830 issues
...9.3 with wine v20050830. I have created a link to a windows (smb) shared folder containing my shared Pegasus mailbox in ~/.wine/dosdevices/c: folder. The share is created on boot. I installed Pegasus v4.21c using wine /path/to/w32-421c.exe Pegasus is run from a kde shortcut that executes wine winpm-32.exe -Z 128 All functions work but there are two issues: 1. When opening a mail from a separate new mail window, the email opens behind the new mail window which must be minimised to see the mail. 2. When exiting or closing the Pegasus mail window, the window stops responding, and must...

Cannot exec program from network drive after 10 minutes
Hi list, following (very strange) problem: An ordinary windows user has mapped a drive F: on \\LUN1\Programme (running samba-3.0.20b-3 debian). The program "F:\Network\PMail V3\Pegasus Mail\winpm-32.exe" is being started, this works. But after about 10 minutes, the same program start fails with "invalid path or filename". When accessing the F: drive via Windows-Explorer, the drive is being reconnected and the call of the winpm-32.exe is successful again. What the heck cou...

Wine 0.9.2, SuSE 10, Pegasus Mail 4.21C
...oad winsock.dll The program loads winsock.dll, sends or retrieves mail but does not freeze. However, I can't exit the program. I must kill the window with force. This is the alternative I use when writing this message. This is how many have started Pegasus in the past: cd to/location/of/winpm-32.exe wine winpm-32.exe -Z 128 "-Z 128" tells Pegasus not to load winsock. The parameter doesn't help now, unfortunately. It did in the past. I have used winecfg to test several different configurations with no success: builtin or native dlls seem to make no difference. I may h...

Pegasus - No Internet Options
...oping it would resolve an ongoing problem with the Windows Pegasus email program. Pegasus loads fine, address books and identities all there but the Internet Options is greyed out. I've tried enabling and disabling the winsock32.dll option, I've tried suggestions of deleting pmail.cfg and winpm-32.manifest. I've tried running Pegasus from the original c:\pmail directory as well as a version installed within my /home/.wine/ folder. Both load fine with what appear all functions except the Internet Options, without which it is unusable for me. I have successfully run an ftp program fr...

wine and windows help
I'm trying to determine if it's possible to use the help system of windows applications running under wine and what I might need to do before it works. I just started using wine again after a long hiatus. I only run one application under wine, xmlspy. I'd like to get its help system working under wine. If I select anything from the help menu nothing happens right now. Is it supported?

Issue with Pegasus Mail Help Functionality
...nnotate Bookmark Define ... Help Help on help Always on top --- Info About WINE That last one was a big surprise for me. The help was supposed to pertain to Pegasus Mail rather than to Wine. I'm told that Pegasus Mail uses WINHELP.EXE to read its help file which is winpm-32.hlp. Does anyone have any information they can offer me as to how to get this functionality to work? I don't have access to the Pegasus Mail source code. -- Jim

Re: Bug#181699: #181699 Re: #181699 wine: vague error message: "dramatically effect" in what way?
What really matters is not whether Wine has a Windows drive and filesystem to sit on top of, but whether or not Wine can use native Windows DLLs instead of its builtin ones. Some DLLs in Wine are so perfect that they can be used in Windows - no benefit will be gained from running an app that uses these natively. Some of Wine's DLLs are buggy or incomplete - using stock native Windows ones
