Problem: enable multiuser wine
Hallo, folks,
in openSuSE 12.1, I installed wine from the Wine CVS Builds repository. I knew it would work perfectly as of my experience on 11.4. In the end, it does! BUT I tried a different thing - it does run the programme, but only for one user!
To get the programmes installed under WINE working for every user (one single laptop, different accounts), I tried the following recommendation

Where is the installer?
This is my first attempt at using wine.
I have wine installed on FC5 the version wine-0.9.17-1.fc5.src.rpm .
I have the winecfg, regedit, winefile, winhelp, notepad and wine
software unistaller. I do not see an installer. I can't find any
information that tells how to install a *.exe app on Linux and run it
in wine.

Hello wineusers, devs and all other people,

I installed Warcraft III and Securom did not work.
That's why i have to use fixed .exe-files to play without the machine to
complain about the missing CD-ROM.
at first i thought this happens because the wine-version...

Quicken Home & Office 2002
First, let me apologize if this has been asked/answered numerous times,
but I cannot seem to find a searchable mailing list archive for
wineusers.
After a 1.5 year break from trying to get quicken home & office 2002 to
work under wine, I tried again this weekend. Install went well. I
could not register because the registration box was empty -- though it
seemed to get further than it has in the past. All seemed to work well,
and it ev...

problems running 123di
Hello, Wine users!
I am having trouble making 123di work under wine. (123di is an interactive "ebook" about photography and a demo version of the software can be downloaded from 123di.com for free) I have tried different versions of wine including 1.2rc1. It crashes on 1.2rc1. On the stable version of wine it doesn't crash but I get a browser window with the message "page not

MS Office 2010 Home - activation and licenses
Hi WineUsers,
I have been very pleased with experiencing how well office 2007 works on wine (1.3.35-37 clean prefix) and I can see that there is also good progress on 2010.
I have been considering buying the home license for 2010 so that I can try it out. However, I know that MS have some licensing scheme wh...

Is Wine taking my donations and giving them to CrossOver?
Well I must say.
I certainly feel like a fool now.
I have been contributing to Wine for about five months, and was shocked to see a blatant advertisement for CrossOver, who take the hard work of those who have contributed their intellect for free and sell it for profit, on your home page.
I then discovered through your own FAQ that most Wine developers are employed by CrossOver.
Is this legal?
